'At 3:00am the night manager allowed a group of high school graduates to stay at the hotel (presumably they had been thrown out of their first choice). I was informed that one of the group was a friend of a friend of the night manager. The group shouted, screamed, constantly went from room to room slamming doors, and ran loudly along corridors until about 7:00am. 'Convenient for flights at Thunder Bay Aiport'

'My most recent experience at this hotel was awful. I booked and paid through Expedia, but when I arrived to check in, the person at the front desk immediately said “no locals” in a rude and dismissive tone. If this hotel refuses local guests, that policy should be clearly stated on both Expedia and the hotel’s own website before anyone books and pays. Taking someone’s money and then surprising them at check-in with an undisclosed policy is unacceptable. When I explained that I had already paid...

'Very dirty place'

'My son and I stopped there for a brief stay on our way to Ontario and were very unhappy with our stay. We thought about leaving and staying in our car but had booked a non refundable so decided to stay. The room smelled so bad it was hard to be in there. The latch lock on the door was broken which made us feel a little unsecured and the curtains didn’t even cover the whole window. All in all we would not recommend this hotel to family and friends and will be choosing another hotel on our way...

'Beautiful conversion of a historic courthouse with loads of character. Spacious, clean rooms, a very comfortable bed, and a good included breakfast. Free parking and 10-15 minute walk to the waterfront and downtown restaurants. A few areas are a little scruffy (surrounding grounds more than anything), but it didn’t take away from an enjoyable stay. For us and our dogs. Would definitely stay again.'

'The hottub was unfortunately, not working. Not really a problem except that the hotel never informed its guests of the issue. And so we got into our suits, went down to the pool, only to be disappointed. Other than that, a very good experience.'

'Spacious rooms but noisy. Airco does it's work but sounds like a F-16 engine. Kingsize and room with queens: both very hard matras. Staff friendly and helpfull (as your bathroom door is (b)locked from the outside ... and forgood diner suggestions). Continental breakfast good. '

'Rooms where clean, and air conditioning very helpful. We were able to park by our outside door. Helpful because my husband and I both have problems with walking and climbing stairs. He has a cane and I have a walker. Close to eating and shopping, but we can't do it much at all. Quite a night for sleeping which was very appreciated. Even day time was quite as well. Will book there again.'

'Room was nice and clean...looks like it was renovated not too long ago. The common areas need work, especially the entrance. Good breakfast included bacon, eggs and potato's.'
