A Treasure Map.Secret messages. Riddles. Tiny hidden fairy houses. Underhill Hollow is its own little world. Completely enchanting! The Treehouse is beautiful and cozy and the property is just pure magic!...woods, a pond, stone walls, bridges and trails perfect for exploring! The hosts..both human and animal...goats,sheep,chickens,cats a dog and many frogs are fabulous. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
Amazing fun night at the Treehouse! Hubby & I enjoyed seeing the animals, walking the paths, and resting for a night before an OCR Expo and book signing.Canât wait to bring our future grandbabies here!
Our stay was only one night, but it was a very fun night and morning. The property was beautiful. The walking trails were great for a morning walk. The goats and Shetland sheep were pretty cool to meet and pet. Michael the owner was a great host. The treasure hunt was a fun plus for the morning. Definitely would recommend. We want to try out the wizard house with our son next time we think he would love seeing the animals and see what the property has to offer his very adventurous mind. Thank you again Michael for a great experience.
Best regards Jane and Joe
Michael has done a fantastic job not only providing a comfortable and beautiful accommodation, but his creativity and skill shine in the many wonderful contraptions, puzzles and surprises around the property. A great place to stay for the gorgeous CT scenery, even better for the many opportunities of adventure scattered around the grounds. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family, and hope to come back in the future to find anything we missed!
Magical stay...we loved it so much we came back on our loop around the New England area!
Fantastic hosts. The Underhills have speant a great deal of time and effort to make your stay memorable.
The property is one of a kind! Clean and well maintained. We even had personal messages waiting each time we arrived...đ.
I feel the listing was misleading. It stated 2 bedrooms two bathrooms. Nowhere did it say there was no running water inside. The inside âbathroomâ was a camp toilet that did not flush and I was asked not to use it unless necessary. The place itself was NOT clean. There were live and dead bugs throughout, the âbedâ was actually a fouton that was very stained. The freakiest thing was a periscope you could look through from the outside that showed the whole inside. The kitchenette was a college fridge outside with a hot plate. Needless to say we left after the first night. I would not recommend!
This is a fun place to stay!, a comfortable ACâd treehouse, plenty of outlets, a really fun design with cool gadgets and artwork - a nice bathroom close by, set on a beautiful farm. Michael is a great host, the goats, chickens, doggie were all cool too!
had a great time at the treehouse! spent time trying to figure out the secret messages in and on the treehouse. hiked in the woods looking for fairy houses and more with our guests (who also loved the place!) - enjoyed hot dogs and smores at the fire pit by the pond. saw a great blue heron... and goats! Owners were so friendly,,, and talented! Got a tour of the old barn and the artist studio. Had breakfast in our 'kitchen' under the treehouse listening to the birds... We read the comments in the guest book in the bookcase behind the pull-down table inside - everyone who ever came had a great time!
Our stay at Thompson Farm was more than we had hoped for. My husband and I stayed in the Tree House for two nights while attending a wedding in the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Michael and introduced to some of the animals at the farm.
The Tree House was cozy and clean, and the decor was aesthetically pleasing. We had fun learning Elvish, and decoding the messages left for us within the space.
Michael was extremely accommodating, especially given that we forgot our bag of linens at home. Even though it was late at night when we asked for sheets and towels, Michael was extremely responsive and kind in getting some to us.
Without giving away too much of the treasure you discover while staying at Thompson Farm, I will just say that we would absolutely stay again!
The tree house stay was so much fun! The treehouse itself was clean, comfortable and very whimsical. The full bathroom was easy to access and very clean. We explored the grounds and competed a treasure hunt where our kids found a gold bar.. and we also found adorable fairy houses hidden throughout the property. The owners were friendly and great with kids. We met the goats, chickens, new puppy, and a baby dragon! We will stay here again when weâre visiting family. Thanks for a great stay.
