'This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Dunes. We were there one year ago, liked the property and returned this year. It had an old time style from the lobby to the rooms. This year we found the room to be quite neglected. The items we noted were as follows: The shower door would not close and had about a 6" gap. The iron had the pointed end broken completely off. 'The best stay I have ever had'

'It said breakfast was included when I booked the trip but later found out that’s there are additional charges. There is also extra fees for resort fees and parking which is in convenient and not mentioned beforehand. They gave a coupon for a welcome drink, the bartender had little to no interest and was very rude after we showed the coupon. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! WORST 4 star resort! Holiday inn is better, at least has no hidden charges and serve breakfast.'

'The rooms are privately owned, and the hotel is nice, but the rooms are outdated. They were clean but need to be upgraded. We booked 17 rooms for a party, and all of our guests had complaints about the rooms. They had to change several rooms. For the price, I would stay at a different hotel when we go back next year.'

'Staff was especially accommodating; really enjoyed working with Sam at front desk. She was knowledgeable, friendly and our stay was made more enjoyable because of her efforts. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends traveling to Myrtle Beach. We only had to venture offsite for groceries, special shows and souvenirs shopping.'

'If you go here it's nice but the website is miss leading with photos. You see the big beach hotel overlooking the waters but the St.Johns hotel is across the street no beach view. But a nice pool view. It was okay'
