'Het was een fijne plek om te zijn met zicht op Holy Loch door zij en achter raam. Soms legt een veerpont 's avonds aan bij de pier om dan 's ochtends weer te vertrekken.Ook als het weer niet geschikt is om er op uit te gaan kun je het er binnen toch gezellig maken en heb je een prima onderkomen. De sfeer van het huis zelf werkt er ook aan mee. Het voldoet verder aan alles en je hoeft je nergens mee te behelpen.'

'This place is like one out of a fairytale. Most spacious! The property owner cooked amazing l meals and brought them to the room herself! They are wonderful people to meet! There are so many places within walking distance to see and enjoy in the area. The people who lived on the island are so very kind and gracious! Absolutely stunning home! Full of jacobite history for those Outlander fans! It was the best vacation i could have ever wished for!'

'You are staying on a boat on land however it was modernised with flushing toilets and hot water and heating. Hosts Lynette and Angus were lovely and could not do enough for us, loved our welcome treats and nice touches throughout the boat. Perfect for a couple with medium size dog. Would give Hope to be back again. Thank you for the amazing stay '

'Our third holiday on Bute, it's such a great place. We all love jumping in the sea and digging on Ettrick Bay! The lounge at Kildavannan is just lovely, so warm and amazing views as you sit in the window seats.'

'De cottage is ruim, sfeervol ingericht en van alles voorzien. Er is geen WiFi of bereik dus alle gelegenheid om tot rust te komen in een prachtige omgeving. Mooie wandelingen gemaakt en veel gelezen. Er liggen overigens ook veel dvd’s in het huisje. Bij de gastheer/gastvrouw kun je terecht voor alle vragen en tips. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad.'

'The Shelduck cottage is a excellent base for exploring this scenic part of Scotland. Easy access to the Ferries to Bute/ Tarbert and Dunoon ..Andrew , our host was very helpful and made our stay memorable.We used a wheelchair and his concrete ramp was ideal for entering and leaving this spacious property. Would recommend this quiet location overlooking loch Riddon. '

'Lovely cottage with everything you need already thought of. Very cozy and comfortable with plenty room. Beautiful beaches very close by and lovely friendly neighbours. 'Vlak voor onze aankomst kregen wij bericht dat de schoonmaakster die ochtend door een ongeluk niet kon komen. We hebben toen zelf schoongemaakt. De eigenaar heeft ons daarvoor 50 pounds terugbetaald. Vandaar de matige score bij "netheid" De woning is mooi groot en gelegen op de 1e etage met een moderne keuken en drie slaapkamers met prima bedden.
