'The rooms are privately owned, and the hotel is nice, but the rooms are outdated. They were clean but need to be upgraded. We booked 17 rooms for a party, and all of our guests had complaints about the rooms. They had to change several rooms. For the price, I would stay at a different hotel when we go back next year.'

Washer dryer - washer sounds like a rocket ship taking off when it runs, and the dryer burnt a bunch of clothes. Kitchen was very poorly stocked. No baking wear at all - not even a cookie sheet. Floors were very dirty and turned feet black - so needs to be cleaned better.'

'This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Dunes. We were there one year ago, liked the property and returned this year. It had an old time style from the lobby to the rooms. 'Excellent property the only issues we had was with the shower in the primary bathroom not draining properly and the ceiling fan in the primary bedroom not functioning properly. We didn’t stay long so it wasn’t a huge issue as the ac was adequate and the shower was the worse the last day of our stay.'

'I loved the location and it was very easy to get around and close to tons of attractions as well as the beach. The hotel was very clean and I really loved that and staff were very attentive to our guest needs. The only thing that I did not like were the stairs to get up to the second level as it would not be ideal for elderly visitors.'

'While understaffed, the limited crew was very friendly and accommodating. I wish we were able to take advantage of the onsite pool, but we were informed at check-in that the pool was currently “down” or “closed”. The building is a little dated and could use some upgrades. Breakfast was great!'

The hotel's grounds, rooms, and lobby were modern decor with spacious seating and viewing areas. However, in the bar area, it was warm and though they had high power fans throughout the lobby to try and cool it down, the fans took away from the ambiance. 'I absolutely love the location!!......However, upgrades are definitely in order......We made the best of the experience, it was my husband's birthday and I didn't want the condo not being clean ruin it for him.....The staff on the property were pleasant and super professional. Mrs. Elaine, our maintenance professional, was absolutely amazing as well!!! She was a highlight 😊......Everything would have been perfect had our condo been clean!!!!!!!!'
