Hale Kōlea (Ha-lay Co-lay-ah) Cabin is an available custom built log cabin and legally-operated* vacation rental located in the rural neighborhood of east Talkeetna, just a 15-minute walk from the popular historic district. We are a SMOKE FREE, NO PETS and #OpenToAll establishment that measures 616 sq/feet (57.23 sq/m) and designed with a welcoming open studio layout (no bedrooms). Hale Kōlea Cabin vacation rental is an ideal getaway for two persons with a queen bed available.

Modern amenities include: Dual-band Wi-Fi, Samsung 4K Ultra HD Smart TV (no cable or satellite), Netflix, YouTube TV, Samsung Blu-ray/DVD player with movie library, Bose bluetooth soundbar and an en suite Finnish sauna.

Hale Kōlea Cabin vacation rental is a NO HOST log cabin with a fully equipped stainless steel kitchen and separate laundry room. The spa-like bathroom boasts a luxurious glass walled shower with pebbled flooring & a custom en suite Finnish sauna. Hale Kōlea Cabin's furnishings have been meticulously selected to reflect a Hawaiian sensibility and include items such as hand quilted Hawaiian pillows, custom artwork and stunning solid maple hardwood flooring.     Lovely, quite location with all of the supplies one could need for a relaxing vacation. From the luxury kitchen to the perfectly placed night lights, sauna, and soft towels, each area had a vacation away feeling. The earth-friendly cleaning and soaps were an additional bonus.     I had a wonderful stay at the Hale Kōlea cabin! It was the perfect weekend getaway. Everything at the property is perfectly thought out and it had every amenity I needed for the stay. Very clean and comfortable. The property is in a very quiet part of the town, but in easy walking distance to the heart of the excitement and history of downtown Talkeetna. It’s truly a “Best of both worlds” kind of situation! This was my second time staying at Hale Kōlea and the hosts are so welcoming and helpful! I can’t wait to stay there again!

Every modern amenity was thoughtfully provided, and the cozy, home-like atmosphere left us feeling both relaxed and thoroughly pampered.A particularly delightful surprise was the presence of inspiring artwork throughout the property, which added a uniquely personal and artistic touch to the space.We cannot recommend this cabin highly enough. Should our travels bring us back to Talkeetna, Hale Kōlea will undoubtedly be our first choice for accommodation — and we’ll be enthusiastically sharing this gem with all our friends.

    The cabin is really nice, clean, easy check in, good WiFi and TV, and what really sets it a part is there are lots of little things that make it easier to “stay”. There are tissues, need some olive oil, its there, need information on local sites, places to eat… it’s there. Need a cup of coffee, it’s there… The cabin is close enough to the main town to walk, also if you’re taking a flight into Denali, the air strip is also within walking distance. They recommend K2 Aviation, and I would also recommend after our experience with them (you get a discount when you mention the cabin name). Great place !

The location was near the town of Talkeetna. We didn’t get to use the sauna but sure it would have been nice. Overall, I would stay here again.

    The cabin is beautiful! The kitchen was wonderful for a small cabin and the sauna was amazing! It was an easy walk into town as well.     When we walk into this cabin, it's like coming home. This was our second time there and we were at home. People in the area are really friendly and just nice. The cabin is clean, it has everything you need and I love that they have a gas stove. It's so quiet and as writers, it gives us time to get away from a large city and write, read a book or just sleep!!

    What a diamond in the rough!!! An unassuming cabin by the outside. Open the door and enter paradise!! Who needs to fly to Hawaii to get an island experience. This cabin far exceeded our expectations and literally made our weekend. From ease of check in to cleanliness, everything was so perfect. For being a studio cabin, the layout was amazing. The best part was the Finnish Sauna that was connected to the latrine area. The kitchen was amazing for cooking and just enjoying.100% will be back again!!

    This was the second anniversary my wife and I have spent at the cabin, at 8 years and again now at 15. Even though it had been 7 years, the place was more comfy and cozy than the first time. The hosts have thought of everything and run a smooth operation . We will be back!!
