Katoomba Green Gables is a quaint 1920s Blue Mountains cottage in South Katoomba just 5 minutes walk from the main supermarkets and Katoomba Street. "So close to everything!". Only 1.5km away from The Three Sisters, Echo Point and Scenic World.
It is ideally located in a quiet cul-de-sac with real mountains feel, leafy area vistas toward Catalina Park Nature Reserve, and its own gorgeous mountains garden. Park under the carport, in the drive, or in the quiet street.
Being so centrally located, it provides easy access to Katoomba Train Station, The Carrington Hotel and Old City Bank Brasserie, a wealth of cafes, restaurants and shops, live music venues, plus the many Tourist Sites and Bushwalks.
Katoomba Green Gables can be your romantic getaway, a young family holiday, a friends’ get-together, or couples sharing fun. You can sleep up to 6 people, with 2 bedrooms each with queen-sized beds, and 1 double sofa-bed in the second living area. Wifi broadband internet is provided.
The house offers a light-bathed interior, and has the atmosphere of its original features combined with its many modern conveniences.
The internal sitting areas include 2 living rooms each with 2 sofas, and external sitting areas - a garden bench and table, a 2-garden-chair setting, and a garden table with 4 chairs.
Katoomba Green Gables is the place to relax and enjoy the fresh mountains air. You may choose to snuggle up in the cosy warmth after a day of bushwalking or sightseeing, or unwind with a glass of wine. Bird lovers may notice the king parrots, eastern rosellas, eastern spinebills, new holland honeyeaters, wattle birds etc in the garden.
The comfortable Main Living Room has a fireplace with a gas log fire, and there is Gas Central Heating throughout the house.
For your home entertainment, you can stream via the supplied broadband internet connection, or you can watch your own DVDs on USB, or watch some of ours. Connect your phone’s music via Bluetooth to the stereo, or select FM/AM radio instead. We don’t supply CDs but you can bring your own.
Quality linen and towels are provided, as well as an iron and ironing board, plus a washing machine and dryer. There are toiletries such as shampoo, soap and hand wash available, and a hairdryer.
For Kitchen/Dining, there is a stove, microwave and dishwasher, and all glassware, crockery, cutlery and kitchen essentials for cooking, a range of teas, and plunger coffee.
Go to the famous Tourist Sites like Echo Point & The Three Sisters, or Scenic World. Katoomba is renowned for the Three Sisters and the spectacular views across the Jamison Valley. The Blue Mountains is a World Heritage Area and one of Australia's most popular tourist destinations.
Jump on the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus for a tour of Leura, Katoomba, and Wentworth Falls, or take a Trolley Bus Tour instead.
Take Cocktails at the Carrington in front of their magnificent hearth. Enjoy the food at the many wonderful restaurants in a range of prices and cuisines.
Catch some rock/blues/jazz/folk/hip hop/world music at The Old City Bank Brasserie, Hotel Blue, The Station Bar, Hotel Gearin and more.
Bushwalk up and back to Mt Solitary (whole day!), or choose a shorter walk.
