Hostels in Sydney

'The hostel is cosy and social. It’s not a party hostel, but people do socialise in the kitchen. The beds are the drawback here - they are rickety and every time someone moves in their bed, you can hear the springs. Also my bed moved every time the guy in the top bunk rolled around. I’m 193cm and couldn’t stretch out in the bed. Difficult to sleep. If you value your sleep, find another place. '

'Things got stolen on two occasions. I asked the staff to check the cctv and they seemed very reluctant and then agreed to. They said where I was located was the one area they don’t have cctv. Overall I felt quite unsafe when staying there and the staff didn’t take my concerns very seriously at all, I think because they’re all travelling themselves and staying at the hostel. It doesn’t seem like there is any authority or professionalism. Other things. No towels to rent, but then saw others...

'It still a hostel but it's clean and superbly located 2min from Kings Cross train station. Nice big common TV area with sofa's. Kitchen is huge and there's a patio so you can eat outside if you want. Plenty of showers and bathrooms. A bit loud sometimes but that's the other guests and not the hostel so you can be (un)lucky.'

'Great place to crash cheaply overnight, with a nice dustant city view from the back balcony. Street parking was plentiful. Room was tidy though there was a lot of dust on the high bulkhead in the room. Bathrooms could use some TLC and some more regular cleaning but my expectations at this price were well met. Would recommend for short, low-cost and quiet stay in a great location, if one can deal with such things.'

'If you like your sleep, don't come here as there is a club downstairs and it's open til late. Plus it's not double glass, so you could hear everything from outside. Same as you could hear everything in the hallway. Room was hot as well, airco didn't seem to work that much. At least the staff was nice and it was clean enough for me. Room did smell a bit as I was in a shared room and the people in there were there for quite some time. Bed was comfy enough for the 3 nights I stayed, but wouldn't be...

'I dont know where the other reviewers stayed, but it couldn't have been the Azzurro. The building was very run down, and everywere was dirty. The bathrooms weren't clean and although there were signs everywhere saying there was cleaning stuff under the sinks there wasn't any and I looked in 4 bathrooms! Luckily I was only there one night and I arrived late so went straight to bed. My room was really smelly and filthy. There were clothes and shoes all over the place. Dirty socks on the floor and...

'Upon early arrival Milo was a great help at reception! Overall stay was good, nice location, close to Central station, World Square, Paddy’s Market, many restaurants & shops.'
