« This is a quaint almost like a boarding house but very VERY far from Acadia. The hour plus drive was torture on really bad roads and locals doing 85 on 45 roads with twists and curves. Really tough at night and coming back from the park. Do not book if you want proximity to Bar Harbor. The breakfast is overpriced and the serving staff overwhelmed. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case. We were given 5 bath towels for 4 people for 4days, 1 dish cloth, 1 hand towel and 1 dirty sponge with no washer or dryer and no dishwasher. Extra towels were dropped...
