Our family—3 sons, daughters-in-law, 8 g’kids, and my Mom—had an amazing time at the Yellow Farmhouse, Christmas-style! Our host Michelle thought of everything to make our stay so cozy and festive! The house was the perfect Christmas house on steroids!!! Everywhere you looked, there were Christmas trees/decor, Santas, or Father Christmases everywhere, and many mechanical ones! Michelle answered any and all of my questions at any time and of day!! I could count on her answer within two minutes—every.single.time. She even provided us with a keyboard for our g’kids to have a Christmas piano recital! She was simply the most attentive hostess we’ve ever had, and we’ve stayed in a LOT of vacation homes around the country! We appreciate all she did to make our stay just one of the best! Her home was so accommodating with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, much living/relaxing space, a huge kitchen, and even a spacious garage for the older g’kids to play in! The yard area was perfect, also, with the rolling hills—we had fun running up and down and kicking a ball and rollerblading on all the cement driveways and walkways! The home was very clean and had absolutely everything we would ever need! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Our new favorite place to stay when visiting Knoxville! The yellow farmhouse is wonderful. It is spacious enough to accommodate everyone comfortably; whether hanging out (inside in the large family room with comfy couches), or in their own private suites with attached bathrooms. The covered porch with lots of rocking chairs and the pool were an added bonus. We loved the chickens and the neighbor’s pig who brought her piglets over to say hello. The farmhouse has everything you need to enjoy family meals and reconnecting. Thank you Michelle!

Family Memories

The property was great for our stay. We had 3 couples and 2 singles stay in the house. The house lay out easily allowed for us to have 5 other folks over for dinner. Loved having 2 ovens! Embarrassed to admit that it took me a minute to find the silverware drawer at the end of the island! But TBH it worked great! Also enjoyed the pool table. We all enjoyed the homey atmosphere!

Wonderful home

We had a wonderful stay at The Yellow Farmhouse! It was perfectly located for the UT football game and everyone had their own room. They had everything you would need for a home away from home stay! The fresh eggs were a plus as I’m a chicken person too 😀

The Yellow Farmhouse was a perfect place for all of our family to gather to help celebrate our daughter's graduation from UTK. It was clean, spacious enough and has the best porches to relax on. We were about 15 minutes to campus and east of UTK. The house is very clean and has a full stocked kitchen. Bonus, they had chickens and fresh eggs! Michelle is a great host and responds quickly and very helpful. We would rent again! 5 stars all around!

Fantastic stay at the Yellow Farmhouse

The yellow farmhouse was such a wonderful space for a large group and still had so much room to spread out. Michelle had so many thoughtful touches throughout the house to welcome guests and was so responsive and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

We stayed at this property for a gameday weekend. The place was perfect for our group. The home is is great shape and only about a 10-15 minute drive from campus. Michelle was very accommodating and answered all my questions right away. I would definitely recommend this home.

This house is perfect for a gathering of family and friends. It has all the amenities plus an idyllic setting in the country, complete with chickens and fresh eggs. Bonus, it’s only 15 minutes from downtown Knox.

College Graduation

Gathered with family for our daughter’s graduation from UTK. Could not have found a more lovely home that had exactly what what we needed. The owner Michelle was so responsive to any questions we had and was so welcoming. A beautiful house that was spacious enough for our extended family to be together to celebrate our Graduate!! Great time at the Yellow Farmhouse!

My family had a wonderful time at this property. Large home with room for everyone, spacious kitchen, which was great for cooking big family meals, and a big yard for the kids to play in. The chickens and fresh eggs were a plus! The host was incredibly responsive and everything was as advertised, including the holiday decorations. Definitely recommend!

This is an amazing house for families or anyone. The fully stocked kitchen is a wonderful place to cook and have meals. The chickens provided us daily fresh eggs. The front and back porches are great places to hang out to enjoy time together or watch the sunrise/sunset. The rec room with the pool table provides fun and there are also many board games to choose from. For any Tennessee Vols families, it is not far from campus - a very easy drive. The owner is very responsive and truly cares that you have a great stay. There are so many wonderful features of this property. You will love your stay here!

Fun family weekend

Our family stayed at Strawberry Plains for a UT football game and it provided a great spot for us to hang out. The kids enjoyed playing croquet and pool and everyone having their own rooms and bathrooms was amazing. This is definitely an opportunity to feel like you are spending the weekend with a friend or family member, not checking into a hotel. The drive to UT was very easy and we never even met traffic on one of the biggest games of the year.

UT Graduation Weekend

We loved this property - big house, fully stocked kitchen, adorable front porch and back porch. Plus - fun outside with the pool + cows, chickens and ducks. Michelle was the most amazing host - so kind, easy to talk to, responded quickly to emails. Made sure we had all we needed. This is a great house for anytime - especially football season and graduations - just 10ish minutes from UT. Truly can't recommend more highly - all my family loved it from the 4 year old to the 62 year old. We had a perfect graduation weekend.

Plenty of space

The house was warm and inviting and very spacious for 9 people (two families) as there were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, seating areas. The house also had plenty of outdoor space including chickens and cows. It was peaceful sitting on the front and back porches enjoying the views. Conveniently located close to Knoxville so we were able to visit the downtown area several times during our stay. The house had all the conveniences we needed (cable tv, wifi, full kitchen, etc.). Emails to the host were replied to immediately. Two car garage with remotes were also available for use. Would stay here again if visiting the area.

A Tennessee Thanksgiving

We had the most wonderful time at Michelle’s place. The house was perfect…everything was stocked in abundance! It was the best home rental in which we have ever stayed. My son had his senior football game with the Volunteers and the whole family was able to come to TN, stay together, go to the game and then have a Tennessee Thanksgiving to top it off. I was always have special memories of our time here. Thank you so much, Michelle!!

Perfect for a Gameday

Great home for large gatherings

We had multiple friends and family in town for the Tennessee/South Carolina game this weekend. The house had everything we needed and was spacious and accommodating. A very short drive to the campus made our gameday experience that much easier. Would definitely stay here again!
