'From the first to the last minutes we had an excellent stay at 'The Lodge' in Frosterley. We thought it would have been too far to walk to the village. But it took J. approx 15 minutes back and forth. In the lodge everything was absolutely fabulous. Some predecessors were not very satisfied with the bed. But it did not bother us. 'I arrived early to a super friendly host. Was invited into an open lounge for the quests with a roaring real fire . Offered refreshments and then shown to my room for the night. . Cannot fault the whole experience from start finish . Real home made breakfast, just a lovely environment , and a very good price I would have paid more for this . 'I stayed here with my partner for a wedding. I got here around midday and fro that point onward everything was fantastic. All of the staff here were so friendly and accommodating, even arranging taxis for us and then keep an eye on them to arrive while we had a beer.
