Chalets in Stamford

'A very comfortable cottage. Excellent enclosed garden if you have a dog and great walks within 200 yards of the cottage to the 'deeps' or beyond to at least two longer distance paths. Stamford is ten minutes away and if yoir visiting family in the area its a great base with good road links. We had our break at half term (February) the cottage is well heated with a log burning fire!....we bought extra logs from Morrisons in Stamford (about £8 a bag).Bob and Sarah provided a great welcome pack...

'We loved the charm of The Old Pheasant. We stayed in the Rutland Suite and it was very spacious for our family of four. Our teenagers appreciated having their own beds (instead of sharing a double). Supper was delicious and the breakfast included with the stay was dynamite! Wish our schedule had allowed for another night here.'

We have a lovely walk around the village one evening, went back following day to try the local tea rooms but they closed early which was a shame. Will definitely stay here again'

We were really impressed by the hotel - great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely walks locally, well maintained facilities, lots of spaces for chilling out, lovely food and welcoming of our dog in all locations. We had a lovely stay and this hotel is high on our list for a return, perhaps without our dog so we can use the spa facilities! The only slight negatives were that the room looked a little...
