Great little home... beware of the roosters!!!!

I really want to give this home a better review it was great and the host had great communication!!!! A+ for that part. Woke up without power first morning, which no biggie, it's an island we get that.. the host came quickly over and fixed the generator when i texted. Next day no hot water or stove but again as soon as i called he fixed!! Really appreciate that. Place was clean. Very small but perfect. Kitchen is adorable. Backyard is adorable. However if you value sleep or relaxation on your vacation this may not be the place for you!! I have stayed in St. Thomas multiple times, we full well knew there are wild roosters and hens running around and singing. However, when the neighbor has at least 4 roosters in cages about 10 feet (no joke) from your bedroom window it makes for HORRIBLE sleep!! It has become a big thing to rooster fight there now i guess Friday nights across from Louies so they are not just wild anymore they are caging them to try and muscle them up to win, making the roosters very angry!! It begins like clock work at 3:30 am until 5 pm seriously!! Address needs to be put on the house so u can find it. Loved everything else!! Thank you for letting our family use your home.

Great but off beaten path

The house is exactly as stated. Sweet, perfect, clean, and safe. I loved the yard for me ending yoga & hanging out between excursions The crowing roosters is something to get used to!! The only thing was that the address given was not really the address that taxi drivers knew for that area, so the driver that picked us up at the airport needed to speak to the owners to get us there. We’ve suggested that the owners provide that address for future guests. And because this house was in more of a residential/local area we spent a lot of $$ on taxis. ($10-15 per person per ride, which for some days was 3 separate trips). We did not want to rent a car. That said, all of the drivers we met were friendly, helpful, accommodating and offered their cards so that we could call them directly during our stay. We had a great trip and were able to get a feel for the island living in St Thomas.

It was exactly as described. The property was clean, well decorated and it had all the amenities of home. As a plus, there were beach towels etc. To help with your beach visits. The backyard was another cool spot. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended

Gorgeous Home

We got into the house and it looked exactly like the photos! The host was very helpful and at check in gave us amazing information! Pros: -clean and tidy -exactly like the photos -nicest house on the block -gorgeous back yard -provided beach bags with snorkel/mask/towel -AC -extra touches like coffee and creamer ready -liquor left on the wall was free to use Cons: -a little far from red hook which is where we did most of our food (and most taxis were about $8 per person each way) -neighbors have roosters-so just come prepared

Perfect

The location was great, Anna's Retreat has everything nearby, like a Walgreens, KMart, and even a KFC. There are also plenty of small island restaurants nearby as well. There is also a grocery store and mall very near Kmart as well. Because it is in the center of St Thomas Island, most beaches are a 10-15 minute drive. You will need a car if you stay here. My only complaints, which are very minor, is that there are no wine glasses, and there could be more bowls and drinking glasses. And, if anyone is curious, that is real alcohol on the wall. We did make a couple of drinks during our stay (but we are mostly wine drinkers, so we also purchased our own drinks). The beds were clean and comfortable, and there are so many great updates to the home. Even though I spent most of my time out of the house, the time spent there was very relaxing. I would definitely stay here again!

Anna's Retreat

The location was perfect. It was close to beaches and shopping centers. The backyard was beautiful and the surrounding chickens seem to enjoy it as well. They sang happily throughout the day and night. The place has upgrades in the kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom had a very nice welcoming appeal and the beds were very very firm. The host was available to answer any questions. The property is very secure with cameras surrounding the perimeter. It was a lovely property.
