Premier St. Michaels Cottage - T. Blades House - Marchez vers tout en ville

La maison historique Thomas Blades House, vraiment spéciale et récemment restaurée, est située dans le quartier historique de St. Michaels, à quelques pas du parc de la ville avec de magnifiques vues sur l'eau. C'est un chalet de vacances de 2 chambres, 1. 5 salles de bains. Les tarifs varient selon la saison et si le séjour est en semaine ou le week-end. Les séjours d'une semaine ou plus sont réduits, tout comme les réservations "de derniÚre minute".

Musées, boutiques (y compris épiceries et pharmacie), restaurants, églises, parcs, courts de tennis, piscine municipale. bibliothÚque, le marché fermier hebdomadaire et d'autres attractions sont à distance de marche de la maison!

La maison est trÚs confortable et joliment décorée avec des meubles d'époque et de reproduction. Idéal pour une petite famille ou un ou deux couples. La maison est également une escapade romantique idéale pour un couple. La grande salle familiale et le grand porche arriÚre créent un environnement idéal pour se détendre!

La maison a été construite vers 1850 par Thomas Blades, un jeune marin.

Le premier Ă©tage de la partie originale de la maison des lames comprend un salon et une salle Ă  manger. À l'arriĂšre de la maison d'origine au premier Ă©tage se trouve un espace CUISINE reliĂ© Ă  une grande SALLE FAMILIALE lambrissĂ©e. Il y a un demi-bain hors de la salle familiale. L'arriĂšre de la salle familiale s'ouvre par des portes-fenĂȘtres sur un grand porche extĂ©rieur avec ventilateur de plafond et coin repas. Il y a une terrasse Ă  l'arriĂšre du porche pour les grillades en plein air.

Le deuxiÚme étage de la partie originale de la maison Blades comprend une grande CHAMBRE avec un lit queen size et un lit d'enfant ancien (taille lit bébé). Le deuxiÚme étage à l'arriÚre de la maison contient la grande chambre principale avec un lit king size. Hors d'un couloir entre les deux chambres se trouve la salle de bain principale.

Un chalet supplémentaire et une grande maison au bord de l'eau sont également disponibles à la location.

Good things come in small packages

The seemingly small cottage was deceptively large and well appointed on the inside. We also have a historic home so we loved the mix of original and contemporary additions. The screened in porch was especially delightful on a warm summer night. The location couldn’t be beat. Very pleased with all aspects!

Didn’t use our car for 3 days!

My husband and two dogs and I really enjoyed staying at this property. Half the house seemed original and half an addition, and we appreciated staying in a part of history. We walked everywhere in town.

Wow! Property was great. Like steping back in time with all the amenities. Only 1 block from shops and restaurants. Just a few blocks to beautiful boats and park. Highly recommend

Perfect Choice

The T. Blades house was the perfect choice for a two day quick getaway for my husband and I. The house is not only filled with period charm and character, but has been lovingly and perfectly restored to make it a very comfortable stay. Immaculately clean and furnished. The location is a 5 star, as well. One block to the main street with shops and restaurants, and two blocks in the other direction to the water. Can't wait to go back. Kathleen and John

Charming & Cozy!

We loved our weekend at T. Blades House. We parked the car and walked everywhere - to breakfast, the parks, marina, all the shops on Talbot Street, and met so many nice neighbors (and their canine companions) strolling the quaint little streets! The house was cozy as can be, with all the charm of a historic home plus modern conveniences. Gorgeous original heart pine floors, beams, and period hardware & furnishings — with nice comfortable beds to end your day! We would love to return next year!

Overall we enjoyed the cottage because the location was incredible and the air conditioning was great on a hot weekend. Beds were comfortable and the screened in porch was enjoyable. The antique furnishings and decor was cozy! We had a two year old sleep in the children’s cot in the second bedroom and used towels to cover the windows. Primary bedroom was very nice! Unfortunately we were visiting during a storm and the ants were EVERYWHERE. We couldn’t leave anything or dishes on the counter because the ants would swarm. We had to throw away a bunch of our new groceries. There was also a bunch of nails on the back patio (probably from the housework Nextdoor). Overall, we really did like the property! Just some cleanliness issues. We would return for sure due to the location!

Cozy and Good Location

The house looked better than the pictures. It was very cozy and had everything we needed. It’s probably the best location for walking around town. Water pressure in the shower was decent, and the beds were comfortable.

Great location home needs attention

The location and proximity of the home was exactly what we had hoped for. The home felt like a handyman special and work was needed in every room. Rotten walls from water damaged, Windows’s closed and secured with zip ties, closets that we could not hang clothes because of other items thrown around. Seating in most rooms were not ideal and seemed more like an antique store than a place to relax. I will say the Owner communicates well and provides the basics. The stay was great but will not stay here again due to updates and cleanliness.

Location is amazing!!!!

The location was unprecedented! Really short walk to everything. Car did not move once we arrived and member of our group uses a walker. Property was clean and accomidating. Very pleased overall. Will return again!!!

Great weekend in St Michaels

Property is an historic small house billed as "you can walk to anywhere in St Michaels", and you can--easily. It's located in a very quiet area a couple of blocks from the harbor. It's near the corner of Locust and Carpenter (two very quiet side streets) that is labeled "Hell's Crossing" on the locally provided street map. There is an interesting story about that dating from the 1800's. The house is very nicely maintained and furnished in colonial period style. It's ideal for a couple, or a couple with two children. It might be too small for multiple families. The only suggested improvement I would make is to provide a non-skid bath mat for the tub. It has a non-slip surface, but it's still a little slippery--especially for us older folks

Lovely Little Historic Get-A-Way

We enjoyed our a long weekend in this historic cottage.it is located on a street that we have frequently walked over the past 15 years - we’ve always been curious about this row of homes. We loved all of the antiques and decor. We enjoyed sitting on the shaded screened in porch during the hot days, along with our Boston Terrier and another set of friends. The location is perfect, 1 block from the Main Street and about 1/2 block from the harbor and park.. We received the perfect amount of communication from the owner. We would book with them again.

Historic St. Michael’s house

The property is beautiful and very well appointed. The location is perfect for walking to anywhere in town and is just a few steps to the water. There are plenty of places to walk your dog very close to the house. The host, Tom, was very friendly and easy to work with. The only issues we had were the construction noise early in the morning from the house next to ours and an issue with ants in the kitchen. Otherwise, we absolutely enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We would recommend this house to a couple or small family.
