'We throughly enjoyed are stay at this lovely mountain top casita. The vistas down the mountains and up the valleys from the patio were stunning. There were many spaces around the property to enjoy a morning coffee, or an evening glass of wine as the sun set. Great attention was taken to retain the historic charm of the casita, while providing all the modern essentials. The location was close to some very nice local restaurants with great views. I would highly recommend staying at this property....

'We booked Casa Sunzal at the last minute because our first accommodation was closed and canceled our reservation, but we couldn’t have been happier to end up at Casa Sunzal! The staff was so kind and helped us book surfing guides, board rentals, and a trip to Tamanique waterfall! The food was delicious and they were so accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!'

'It's about a 10 minute walk to Sunzal beach - so in that sense the property is very convenient for surfing. That being said, there's very little in the immediate area of the hotel, and it's about a 25-30 minute walk to El Tunco. I rented a motorcycle, so that wasn't much a problem for me. When I was there there's was lots of construction; and there's also plenty of "banging" noise, which I think comes from something that falls out of the trees onto the tin roof of the rooms; that could be a...
