A's by the Slope is ideally located in the heart of the village of Snowshoe in the renowned Allegheny Springs building, your most luxurious accommodation in Snowshoe. It is a fully updated 1st floor condo with the most convenient ski in/out or bike in/out location you will find in the entire village. Well conceived and organize floor plan to include a open kitchen and living room (with queen sleeper sofa), a private bedroom and private bathroom. Unlike most properties in Snowshoe, we now offer a fully contact less check in at Allegheny Springs. By pass the check-in lines and go straight to the unit.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with updated stainless steel appliances, and all everything you need for cooking tasty meals. Prepare your meal in the crock-pot in the morning and dinner will be ready when you come back!

The living room provides plenty of seating for the family to relax and enjoy a movie on the big screen while watching the fireplace. if you need extra sleeping space, the sofa converts to a queen bed.

The spacious bathroom offers a combo tub/shower and great lighting.
We supply start up necessary paper amenities (toilet paper rolls, paper towels, tissue paper). Based on your usage habit and your length of stay, you may not have enough and should plan accordingly. Our condo is also furnished with sheets and towels. We do not provide Pool Towels so if you intend to use the pool/hot tub, please bring your own pool towels.

A's by the Slope has a minimum age requirement. All adult members of your party must be 21 or older unless they are children traveling as part of a family group. Every guest must be registered and verified on your reservation. We have a strict no party or gathering policy.
Guest must sign Rental Agreement and provide Government ID.
Although you have access to the entire condo, there is one owner closet that is not accessible to guests and is located in the entrance.
Your arrival (and departure) are fully contactless. You will be provided with detailed check-in instructions the afternoon prior to your arrival including a code and/or mobile app to enter the home. Unlike most properties in Snowshoe, we now offer a fully contact less check in at Allegheny Springs. By pass the check-in lines and go straight to the unit. Valet parking and Concierge services are available.
We are here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is entirely up to you. We are only a phone call/message away and will respond usually within minutes during extended business hours. During the overnight, we probably wont get back to you until early the next morning. If there is a life threatening emergency, please contact 911 and then call us and leave us a voicemail. We reserve the right to stop by the property at anytime but will give you at least 4 hours notice except in case of emergency.
The property is equipped with video recording camera outside of the patio. There is 1 camera located on the patio for the safety of our guests. Those are used for security purpose only. Any recording is automatically deleted after 30 days.
Third Party Reservations (Guest not occupying the home) are strictly forbidden and again any channel policy (airbnb, VRBO, booking...). The guest who made the reservation must be an active occupant of the home for the entire duration of the reservation. Unauthorized guests will be removed from the property and the reservation will be immediately canceled. No refund will be provided regardless of the cancellation policy.

Birthday Getaway
My wife and I escaped to the Mountain to celebrate her 40th Bday. This was the perfect spot for us! There was plenty of room for all our gear, extremely easy to access the slopes (right outside the back door... literally strap in and go) and very convenient to the rest of the Village. We adventured around the shops one evening and everyone was extremely polite and very COVID safe. The unit is very close to pool/hot tub access and we loved the little fire pit in the common area by the pool. Being on first floor there is not much noise from above however the snow groomers do make rounds quite early and woke ya up a little both mornings.
All in all we loved the space and it had everything we needed for the two of us. Thomas and Kelly were easy to communicate with and helped to quickly resolve a mix up the night before we were supposed to arrive. Highly recommend this unit for a couple but might be tight for more than 2 with only a couch in main living area.
Thanks for a great stay and we hop to be back again!!!

Warm, Comfortable, Well-equipped, Well-placed!
Enjoyed our stay with A's by the Slope during a COVID winter. Space was good for our family of 4. The unit was well kept & in good order with walk out patio, resilient flooring, easy start gas fireplace, single bathroom, and an abundance of hooks (for ski gear). The Allegheny is at the head of the village and primary lifts with dual hot tubs, sauna, laundry, a pizza parlor, and a pub. Nice! The small village grocery was close, and the kitchenette was well equipped, including larger pot, colander, & pan than we expected. Entertainment included easy wireless internet, WiFi TV, DVDs, and some games. Check in was easy thru the resort despite VRBO rental. Cons were minor: While Thomas was wonderfully responsive thru VRBO, the condo was behind in grounds maintenance d/t COVID, and I had to dig out the patio myself in order to ski in/ out. No Verizon service in Snowshoe (only AT&T d/t the radio telescope) and a small coffee pot (I drink too much), but these were easily overcome. Thank you, Kelly and Thom, for sharing your wonderful home - we'd love to stay again!

You’re just paying for location
Pros - The location canNOT be beat. You can walk right onto the slopes from the balcony. Also the WI-FI is realllly fast - loved it for “work from home”. The pool and hot tub are also amazing, and the fitness center has enough equipment that you can get a good workout in (if you have the energy after the slopes!). Valet parking is super convenient and the front desk staff is incredibly helpful.
Cons - the condo itself needs work. It was “just clean enough”. You’re provided with dirty cleaning sponges for dishes, a number of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty, the toilet paper rolls are not replaced with a fresh set for new guests, the bath products are used (they’re not the kind with full size bottles; you’re given used mini size toiletries), a couple of the towels had stains, the drawers in the kitchen are dirty, the container holding cooking utensils was moldy, and the bottom of the trash can was dirty. It seems that most/all of these issues can be solved with better cleaning staff.
The bed linens are old and not crispy fresh, and the mattress is really uncomfortable. I strongly suggest that the owners change the mattress and replace the bedding. The mattress is a “tempurpedic” but must be REALLY old. It has lost its shape - It is lumpy/hard in the middle and sunken on the sides. Even a regular spring mattress would be better.
Despite the cons, I would stay here again - the pros make up for it!

Better communication helps!!!
Directions for first-time visitors are horrible! To start, we arrived at night in a snow storm. Host’s instructions were to follow a path outside that goes around the building. But, being in the middle of a snow storm, there was no path - just tons of snow in the dark! Then, the host has three, very small BLACK stickers on the unlit porch door that we’re supposed to see in the dark during a snow storm!! Mark the unit better! Or, simply have the access card at the front desk! If that’s not doable, I’ve discovered (from the condo front desk, not the host) that you can use the bathroom key to get to the unit to initially get in and not climb through mounds of snow in a dark snow storm looking for black on an unlit porch! Another issue is simple instructions in the unit. For example, the fireplace (which didn’t work) had a button. One would assume you simply push the button- but nope! There’s a pattern that one “in the know” would understand. The host was made aware of the fireplace not working and did nothing to make it right. The fireplace was one of the main reasons I rented this unit!The magnet locked door get to the unit that prompts the hosts to tell their visitors to go looking for small black stickers on an unlit porch on a dark, snow storm night is stupid and useless!I can go on but it’s a simple matter of perception. The host’s perception was not that of a new visitor unfamiliar with the location and property. Nice location though (silver lining I guess)

We really enjoyed our stay here! The codo was very cozy, very clean and a GREAT location. We loved the fireplace after a long day skiing. We could also see the ski lift from the patio. The bed was super comfortable and the location was PERFECT! You can't put a price on being able to walk out onto the porch and be right on the slopes. It was also nice being able to get into the unit after 11 pm (when the front desk closes) as the unit has access via the patio with a door code. The owners were super responsive to needs we had during our stay and were really accomodating. I could not speak higher of our experience! Had a great time!

2nd time staying at A's on the slopes
This was our second year in a row staying at A's on the slopes. We were just as happy with the property this year as we were the first. The condo was clean upon our arrival and the owners were always quick to respond to any questions.
The location is my favorite part about this condo. It is true ski in/ski out and right next to the ballhooter lift. Access to the pool is also just steps away. The building is located in the village so restaurants and shops are within a short walk. We can't wait to return next ski season.

Great Location!
Rental exceeded our expectations. Its location is close to EVERYTHING and has all the creature comforts you may need. Condo is laid out well and has tons of hooks/storage to help you stay organized.
Host was amazing as well. They were very accommodating when my husband and I had to post pone our trip due to COVID. They also provided us with all of the information we needed to make the trip go smoothly. Definitely recommend and are planning on another trip! Thanks for everything!

The condo was perfect! Loved the ski in/out access. It was clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. We look forward to returning one day soon.

Great rental!
Went with my wife and Kids (11 and 17) to Celebrate my 40th Birthday with some time on the slopes. The unit was great and convenient to everything. Thomas was quick to respond with any questions and the unit was very clean upon arrival. Would definitely book this unit again.
