Simpson Preserve

The price was the only thing reasonable compared to others in area. Badly maintained and cleaned.

Disappointing Stay, Safety Concerns & Dismissive Management I overlooked several issues at NOMA Social, including unclean linens, extremely thin walls, no greeting or acknowledgment upon entering, and restaurant staff knocking on our door despite the “Shhh” privacy sign. At approximately 3:40 AM, my daughter and I were frightened by someone aggressively banging on a door on our floor and yelling for someone to open it. We had no idea what was happening. I repeatedly called the advertised 24-hour concierge, but NO ONE ANSWERED. When I reported the incident, I explained that my family was navigating a vulnerable housing situation related to domestic violence. Instead of compassion or accountability, I received dismissive, condescending responses questioning why I hadn't called 911 or reported it earlier. I requested a refund so we could relocate somewhere we felt safe. I was offered only 50% off the affected night and told to pack our belongings and leave to receive a refund for the remaining stay. The manager was reportedly unavailable. Hotels cannot control every guest's behavior, but they ARE responsible for providing advertised services, responding to safety concerns, and treating guests with dignity. Between the cleanliness issues, lack of privacy, unanswered calls, and treatment by staff, I cannot recommend this property.

Everything was great! We didn’t interact with our host but he left us notes with everything including WiFi, and where he left the key to our room. The room was cozy and perfect. However, the one downside to our stay was that there was no ac in the our room and it was very hot and humid the entire weekend. No fan or anything. It was a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night. If there was at least a fan in the room this would’ve been an excellent stay.
