'Communicate with the owner first, make sure you pay for parking if needed'

'WORST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE EVERUNSAFE AND UNSECURED with unfettered access throughout the house to anyone staying there!! I was literally robbed of my Rolex. Police report filed but they told me that it was unlikely that I would ever see it again. I knew when I reserved this property that it was “funky” looking, NO frills property but the experience I had could not have been further from just an old-fashioned, kind of quirky, passe’ form of old home. NOT DISCLOSED: •multiple people staying at the...

'There was just a little outside noise in the evening. Comfortable bed. I couldn’t get the bedroom tv to work but it might have been just my skills.'

'We were happy with this property. The basics were good: large comfy beds, decent showers, good living room and dining area, good a/c (much appreciated in the summer heat), big yard (with antlered deer!) and attached small playground, kitchen with adequate utensils/dishes/pots, quiet street and area. The owner was pleasant and responsive. Some of the “touches” needed work: very small kitchen, refrigerator was in the entry room and leaked water periodically, LR rug was stained, inadequate...

'We were overall very pleased with our stay. It got pretty warm in the upstairs rooms, but there were fans and a portable air conditioner to help cool it down. Not much as far as dressers to unpack or for comfortable seating to lounge but we made do and would definitely stay here again. We appreciate the opportunity to stay in this home and felt very safe and secure.'

'We had a great time and the host was amazing! Definitely recommend. The location was perfect.'

'The property was as stated, the host had things set up nicely with extra kitchen supplies. The host was very communicative and helpful.'

'This was such a cute place to stay! It was perfect for my family and me. We drove some and used Uber when needed, which made getting around easy. Washington, D.C. is such a beautiful city with so many things to see and do. We hope to come back again someday. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts. We truly enjoyed our stay and wish you all the best!'

'When looking at potential properties I always read the recent previous reviews on a curve. From now on this property has now changed that for me going forward. There was excellent communication from the property manager leading up to check-in. I glanced over the first red flag comment when the manager stated “The blinds aren’t broken, they’re just bent”. They were correct, they weren’t functionally broken, but every single mini blind had broken OR missing slats, they should’ve been trashed....

'Clean room. Quiet.'

'House was everything we needed for our trip. Good location just outside the city and easy spot to get transportation or ride shares. Host communicated very well and had no issues.'
