'A beautifully located home with smoke space and comfortable gathering places got all ages. Comfortably warm on a winters weekend. At the foothills of Mount Marlay and walking distance to town...yet felt like we were isolated from others as it was such a quiet neighbourhood. 'From the moment we opened the door to be greeted by peaceful music playing, fresh oil diffuser going and as it was our 28th wedding anniversary on the table were chocolates and light up numbers 28, an extra special touch to an allready amazing entrance. It was the most perfect long weekend away. We drove very short distances to lovely bush walks daily, then got to come home and soak in the spectacular tub drinking wine, while watching the wildlife right outside our window. '

'Property was perfect for our dog friendly holiday. The home very comfortable, clean, well maintained . Lovely to sit near the fire on the cold Stanthorpe nights.The yard was great for the dogs to run free. Plenty places to sit and relax on the wrap around veranda on by the fire pit. '

'This is the second time we have stayed at Avalon. The house is very comfortable and cosy. The location was great for our weekend. Teresa is a great co-host. We will stay again next visit to Stanthorpe.'

'Thank you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was fantastic and the house was perfect as advertised. So cozy with the inside fireplace and outside fire pit. I would recommend this for any family that wants to relax and also get to see the many awesome places to visit in and around Stanthorpe'

'A peaceful location with the wilderness just outside your front door. Our stay in Stanthorpe was relaxing, rejuvenating, and an opportunity for our family to reconnect after the rigours of a semester of schooling and work. Although visiting in the winter months, we were nevertheless able to enjoy the outdoor spa and sauna during the day, sitting on the front lawn and stargazing at night, and huddling in front of the fireplace once we were done with both. An enjoyable time for all.'

'The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The fire was going when we got there which made it very cosy. The cottage is quite big and plenty of room for 2 people.'

'What a wonderful weekend getaway with a bunch of friends. House was huge and fitted our group of 7 perfectly. We loved the fire, acreage and the daily visits from the kangaroos. Everything you needed was provided. Maggie is an amazing host. '
