'Ein typisches altes japanisches Haus mit tollem Flair. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, täglich frisches Wasser und Handtücher. Wir haben uns zu sechst sehr wohl gefühlt, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat auch sehr gut geklappt. Die Strasse war beim ersten Mal nicht ganz einfach zu finden, auch der Taxifahrer hat sich schwer getan. Ich kann die Unterkunft für eine größere Gruppe/ Familie aber nur weiterempfehlen! '

'Beautiful traditional machiya very close to transit and walkable to many places. Laundry on the corner and grocery around the block. The stairs to the second floor were quite steep and the first floor could have used some more furniture, but really no real complaints '

'We stayed in Tokyo and Osaka prior to our stay here in Kyoto at Maeniiya Machiya Inn. Maeniiya Machiya Inn is a definite great place to stay and close to everything. Akemi (property owner) is a wealth of knowledge and gave a lot of tips and recommendations. Be sure to visit Sukemasa for dinner if you like Gyoza. It is very close and yummy for 1000yen! 'Loved it, felt like a real local. Washer was a plus and included detergent! Fast responses and overall a great stay :) 9.8/10 a little bit dusty specifically the top of air conditioner but hey, it’s an older place, it was expected and part of the vibe. Recommend if you want to stay in a more traditional place hence the name of the place. '

'Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. '
