'It’s a long way out of town (5km) with no restaurants or amenities nearby, so not ideal for hikers. No bathtub also a disappointment for those finishing a long hike. For some reason all the power sockets are situated in inconvenient locations. One positive was that it has a washing machine (but no drier) . Basically, it’s a 40ft shipping container in a field in the middle of nowhere'

'We stayed for two nights and indulged in a spacious, clean & beautifully designed (triple) room and delicious kaiseki style dinner & breakfast. The room came with a private onsen as well! The hotel is situated along the river shore, which makes wonderful scenery during breakfast and dinner. We saw deers and raccoon dogs while enjoying our meals or taking an onsen bath.
