Things you need to know before booking

There are something’s that would have been nice to know about this cabin before renting! They should definitely let you know that a high profile car is best to drive to the cabin. I drive a Honda and I was scared that the driveway/road was going to rip off the bottom of my car! I know I signed up for a Mountain View with a beautiful porch view but they fail to tell you that this mountain was on fire several months back. Therefore the nearby trees are crispy burnt (far away view was pretty though), Soffit is melted and hanging on cabin, the porch was infested with hornet nest (there was even a nest in the porch swing). That made the porch hard to enjoy. I emailed the property manager and he just said, ok. Thanks for letting me know. The amount of money We spent on the cabin we should have been able to enjoy the porch! Inside of cabin was clean! The cabin is not real inviting from the driveway when you see the high weeds/grass around the cabin. As you walk in one of the first things you’ll notice is that couch has a giant hole in the seat. Not a bad place to stay. Close to all of the attractions nearby. Just wish that I would have known these things before booking considering the amount of money spent to stay there! One more thing
don’t waste your time going to the nearby Walmart. Self check out only with crazy long lines. That is an hour and a half of our life we will never get back.

Really lovely cabin!

We had a fantastic stay in this cabin. The reality is exactly as shown in the pictures - secluded and surrounded by trees (albeit somewhat burnt trees after a recent fire that miraculously did not touch this cabin despite getting very close). The cabin has all the amenities you need and some that are bonus extras (the hot tub, which we did use, and the pool table, which we did not). We didn't have any problems during our stay but we communicated with Roy a couple of times and he was very responsive. The amenities like AC, TV, WiFi all worked well. The back deck is particularly lovely as a place to sit out during the day and in the evening as the sun goes down (and even during a thunderstorm to listen to/watch that). Pigeon Forge is a short drive away (15') and there is a large supermarket as you get into town (Publix). Our main reason for visiting TN was hiking in the mountains and it was quite easy to get to the various trailheads we want to to reach - usually they around 45 mins drive away but it's a big park and everything is very spread out so I don't think that is unusual at all. We ate in most of the time but if you're looking to go out I would recommend Peaceful Side Social in Townsend for tasty food and good craft beer.

Adventurous Getaway

Cabin was exactly as described. Clean and well equipped. The view and location was perfect for a quiet night in the hot tub. Although our trip was cut short due to the forest fire, Roy was in contact with us the whole time and was accommodating to our needs. Would stay here again or at one of their other properties.

Hiking Getaway

Views from this property are beautiful. The owner is very responsive. There are some things that could make this property even better. Luggage racks for suitcases, kitchen towels (there were none. The windows looking out at the mountains could use a good cleaning. All that said...it's private and the king size bed is very comfortable.

We will be back!!

Where to start, from the moment we pulled up to the cabin to the moment we left, everything was literally perfect!! We will definitely book this beautiful cabin in the future!! A couple of things: 1. Getting to the cabin, was very easy. The moment we turned onto the first road to the cabin there were signs that pointed us directly to the cabin, it was very easy to find, and super cute signs! We loved the drive up!! 2. The cabin, was exactly what we saw in the pictures, but even better in person!! The view was fantastic, and the best part!! From the cleanliness, to the hot tub(this was really nice on the cooler nights, there are cute lights hung above the tub and cool changing lights in the tub, and the water was super clear and clean), to the peacefulness of being secluded(there are no visible neighbors around this cabin, it was really nice and romantic for my husband and I), it was all perfect!! 3. The only issue, only it wasn't really an issue because it was resolved and did not cause an problem with us at all during our stay. But I want to write about it only to brag about the owner. When we arrived at the cabin, we realized that the refrigerator was not cool. We immediately let Roy know this, and he was very quick to answer and had someone out the next day to check it out! And for the inconvenience, Roy gifted us a meal at one of the many delicious restaurants in the area! Unfortunately, the fridge went kaput. Which was not a big deal at all since we had already planned on eating out while we were there, so the fridge was not needed. But to make things better, Roy found a fridge AND had it installed the very next day!! How awesome is that!! Incredible!! Roy was very very nice during our texting conversations and did everything he could to make sure our stay was the best!! And it was!! Thank you, Roy!! Summary: We will definitely be back in the future and have already recommended this cabin to other people!! We miss it already!!

Lovely cabin on the mountain

Awesome, secluded cabin with beautiful views. The place was very clean and the hosts were a pleasure to work with. Very convenient location to explore the park and nearby towns. We will definitely be back.
