'I needed a last minute place to stay and the Royal Inn came in clutch. The man who checked me in was very nice and got me in immediately. The parking was covered and safe, the step up to the room was a doozy. Clean safe property with the bare minimums of amenities. For the price, it was fine. The floor felt like they forgot to sweep it but otherwise it was fine. I felt every single spring on the bed.'

'Warm welcome with all information we needed to make the most out of our stay. Very close to the Asilomar beach. Full of deer - hence the name Deer Haven Inn, if you are lucky they are even munching on the grass just across the Inn! Fresh coffee and tea in the morning and a very nice and cosy campfire at the reception! All in all we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone. 'Safe, enclosed fence. Staff helpful. Wanted to NOT have maid service-told front desk more than once & still while we were out the maid came in! All personal items about, invading privacy. Staff needs to change how they communicate!'

'Great motel for a great price! Very clean and near the main area of Monterey. I would definitely stay here again. If you stay here, I recommend staying on the top floor if you can because the ceiling is thin and I could hear the neighbors above when I stayed on the bottom floor.'
