'Good, but unable to cook'

'Clean and warm. Bed comfortable. Easy to access the accommodation. Room and bedding etc clean. Appreciated the decent size fridge. A good base to explore the area. NB we were glad to have taken advice from previous reviews and taken toiletries, as dispensers were empty, also took loo roll , own mugs and cutlery. A few minor repairs needed but it is end of holiday season and we had a good last minute price so we were happy with the accommodation.'

'Zeer mooie ruime kamer, helaas is er geen raam dat open kan. Het ontbijt in de voormalibe stallen is ook zeer leuk en goed al was net de eerste ochtend haotisch vanwege de vele gasten dje allemaal op dezelfde tijd kwamen eten.'

'Such a shame- could have been 5 star!! Internally the room was great, very comfortable and modern BUT from outside looked dreadful- dirty windows, dead window boxes and number missing from the door. Was very inconvenient, having to go out and buy tea & coffee ( I had asked before we travelled and was assured it was provided.) I draw the line at having to buy loo roll !! Attention to detail needed!'

'We really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse: quiet bucolic location, handsome and spotless, well-maintained house, We stayed in the Tweed room which was spacious and had everything we needed (including an excellent high pressure shower!). Peter and Sheila were great hosts and cooked breakfast to order each day and made sure we had everything we needed. Would happily return!'

'Did not appreciate a separate bathroom from our bedroom. We booked 12 months in advance and I am sure that I would not have booked if I had noticed that. Our room was situated at the top of the stairs which meant other guests walking past possibly as you were heading to have or return from a shower. Our room could also be seen from a public area (a small corridor from the main bar to the beer garden) which is not good especially for a woman. The hosts went out of their way to find us...

'Stayed one night prior to visiting Alnwick gardens, chosen primarily for location. Staff very friendly and helpful,we did not have any meals there as we walked into Alnwick. Pleased to have a kettle and coffee available in the room for the morning. As others commented the bathroom plumbing was very noisy, with drainage smells apparent. '

'Gorgeous little B&B run by the lovely Les. Everywhere was spotless and welcoming. Our room was spacious, comfy, very pretty and had everything we could need for our 2 night stay. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Felt like by the end of our stay that Les had become a friend and a confidante 😉 Definitely planning a return trip…'

'Had a lovely one night stay with our dog. Accomodation was of a very good standard and food was excellent too! Great spot for visiting the coast and beaches'
