'Breakfast was great! Parking was very easy. Check-in took a while since there was only one person behind the desk and 3-4 people trying to check in at the same time…hoping for better staffing in the future considering check in is at 3:00pm, you would think they would anticipate for that and staff accordingly!!'

'Stay away from this Crowne Plaza. It is very outdated and the level of cleanliness of the property is disappointing. My room had a strong mildewy smell. While the staff offered me another room, it smelled mildewy as well. The vents in the room had some black substance. I reached out to the manager to complain and he never returned my calls or texts.
The elevator was dirty and cob webs were everywhere.
I would have preferred to sleep in my car.

'We appreciated the welcoming staff - often similar sized hotels only have 1 person at check-in but Ayres had 2 and they were efficient. They offered cookies in the evening and a very nice breakfast in the morning. We also took advantage of the weight room and jacuzzi. Finally, despite being close to the freeway, it was very quiet.'

'Unfortunately the hotel, despite it's great amenities, have triple charged my credit card after we checked out. I was never able to contact anyone from the hotel to get this straighten out. My messages went completely unanswered and my credit card was maxed out because of these extra charges. Horrible experience with the fraudulent charges and zero customer service or follow up.'

'When I saw that this place had over 7 stars and was being offered for such a cheap rate I was surprised. I guess you get what you pay for, but this was no 7+ star hotel! The property was in extreme disrepair. The office where we checked in smelled so strongly of nicotine I couldn’t breathe. Fortunately the rooms didn’t smell, but there were a whole lot of other problems with them. The carpets were worn, torn and coming up at the seams. The furniture was literally falling apart, from the drawer...

'Perfect location. Rooms are dated. I don’t like it when they say that your room is available but because its a few hours to early (because of an early flight) you have to pay 25 dollar extra. Room was not clean (empty packaging latex contraceptives) behind the bed. Als in tower 3 there was somebody “welcomes” you with a wheel you can turn to win a 120 minutes time share meeting…..'

'Overall a really good experience. Staff was very nice. Rooms are smaller but clean and modern. It had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Outside looks a little out dated but inside is good. Location is perfect to get around. Overall good price. They had coffee made in the lobby so I went down every morning. I would stay there again.'

'Utterly disgusted by the front desk here. They will Straight up lie to your faces. The air conditioning shuts off in the middle of the night because it's on a sensor, leaving you randomly hot and sweaty, it's also INCREDIBLY loud. Do not recommend.'

'Misschien een beetje een gedateerd hotel maar verblijf was erg comfortabel, kamers zijn goed en met balkon en dat is lekker. Vriendelijk personeel die moeite deden om het voor je een goed verblijf te laten zijn. Op loopafstand van OV, dat zie je niet zo vaak in de US.'

'I recently stayed here for a mini vacation and was satisfied with the location of the hotel. Being able to walk to Shelter Island and restaurants from the hotel was an important reason for booking here. I'll be sure to return again in the future, but will request a second floor room. The only slight with my stay was being on the first floor, hearing children constantly running or playing in the room upstairs. If you can get a room by the pool, do so because the parking lot is busy at all times...
