Dog Friendly Garden Home on Historic Huntingdon Street by Lucky Savannah

Nothing says Southern Comfort like enjoying the evening air with a glass of sweet tea on your front porch. Just a few blocks from Forsyth Park, this pet friendly home has everything you’ll need for a weekend getaway or longer, extended stay. This beautifully updated 1 bedroom home has a comfortable back porch, and all the amenities you need for a short stay or an extended vacation. This home features original hardwood floors, a huge bathroom with shower, and an amazing designer kitchen.

The large, modern living room has two French doors that let in plenty of natural light, and lead to the front porch. Decorated with local art, the large flat-screen TV is set upon an easel and can be seen from anywhere in the room. Pocket doors lead into the eat-in kitchen. The large island and stainless steel appliances make cooking a pleasure. Enjoy a quick meal at the breakfast bar or an intimate dinner at your private table for two. Just off the kitchen is the renovated full bath, which has a large vanity and a shower with a built-in seat.

The King bed is perfect for curling up in after a long day of exploring Savannah. The large closet provides plenty of space to unpack and settle in, and includes the convenience of a stackable washer and dryer.

Non-metered Parking
This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

The place is charming. The location is perfect! Parking was not a problem. Loved the shower until it ran out of hot water so Lucky should warn guests that it has a small hot water tank. The ice maker was broke. The stove lights are also not operating correctly but it did not effect us. A clock in the bedroom would be nice and flashlights if the power were to go off. Watch out for the orange tabby cat. He would like to sneak in when your going in and out but did not bother us.

Reasonable price due to location, conveniece and charm! We found parking easily on the street in September. Pictures are accurate when showing Southern Charm and spacious accomodations. It's 2 short blocks to Forsyth Park and to the free Dot bus system. We used the bus with ease, although it can run late so plan accordingly! Kroger grocery (with Starbucks) is around the corner for convenience for any supplies. Highly recommend this property.

The house was so wonderful and inviting. It made us feel at home and there was everything we needed. The only complaint was that the Microwave door was broken and you had to hold it shut to work and the oven needed some work. It was hard to read the temp and it was hard to shut off. But I would not rate that as bad because we didn't use it much. Over all I would stay again.

Overall it was fine for what we needed. Check in code was not correct and after several tries used the universal code and it finally worked. I would suggest replacing the bedroom carpet,way over due. Spacious rooms, large kitchen which was very nice and welcoming.

The house is in a great location and many places are walkable. There is the most adorable and amazing coffee just on the corner a block down. We ride shared twice but other than that just walked everywhere.

Great location and the space was perfect for two people! Very nicely laid out, perfect outside seating area! Communication was ok, but a bit of a hiccup at check-in (maybe some on my side for not asking the right question) -but quickly resolved and overall was a wonderful stay and would certainly recommend!

Excellent dog friendly house

We had an incredible time here. I grew up and lived in Savannah for 22 years but moved away, and my wife and I were looking for an easy place to stay downtown and bring our dog along. This place was more than enough for us, and had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. We walked everywhere from the front door, including getting down to River Street. Very dog friendly place with gates at the front and back of the property. Private garden courtyard was very nice to have as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a central place to stay!

Charming cottage

We chose Southern Comfort because we were looking for a pet friendly place for a long weekend getaway to Savannah. We loved the charm of this cottage. It looks exactly as in the photos. The back porch and garden were a nice quiet spot to sit and have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at the end of the day. We liked that the garden area is fenced in so our dog could walk freely around for a bit while we sat on the porch. The cottage had all the amenities we needed, although the ice maker in the refrigerator did not work. The location is on a nice quiet street but it is a good walk to the River Walk and shops. There is a free city bus that we took a couple of times and also took an Uber at night. Overall a nice stay!

Sheets did not stay on bed. Toilet paper was very thin. Very loud dryer.

Wonderful property. Loved back porch and off street parking. Property was comfortable and close to everything. Property manager addressed burned out porch lights very quickly. We would stay there again.
