The Brocklebank House" This soulful, single-level home rests on Happy Hill, just a half-mile east of Moonstone Beach. Colorfully decorated, hand-painted furniture & lampshades, hardwood floors, and a fireplace to cozy up to. Dining in front of a bay window, and a breakfast nook, next to French doors leading to the deck, and the
park-like yard. Sheltering oaks, Pines, and Banana trees, line the yard for privacy, and dining on the deck. Your dog is welcome, although the yard is not fenced. We have cable, and Wifi, too! TOT#0000513

This is a beautiful old home set on a beautiful lot with mature trees. It was within walking distance to the little town and you could hear the surf! Very comfortable.

Enjoyed the house. The dog didn’t care for the yard I guess the trees scared him. It would have been nice if the sensor lights stayed on longer as it was awfully dark when taking him out during the night.

Beautiful Location

The house itself was perfect and had all the amenities we needed. I was slightly thrown off having a separate pick up location for the keys, but that didn’t end up being too out of our way. Also, lots of Spider-friends around. We found one in an entertainment drawer, one in one of the beds, and another one in the bathroom the next morning hanging from the ceiling. Besides that this place was great!

Enjoyable Cambria Stay

We really liked the location and layout of this home. Everything you could need for a trip was provided; plenty of kitchenware, diningware, towels, blankets etc and all in nice condition. It had a nice deck that we sat out on and had lunch a couple of days. It should be noted though that the dishwasher wasn't great, didn't really clean the top deck; the fridge, microwave and oven could do with updating, and the gas pressure was pretty bad on the stovetop meaning it took a while to heat anything up. We also had some issues with no hot water, however the agent was super responsive when we reported it and came out within an hour, thank you! Overall the issues were fairly minor and we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Getaway

This is a well-stocked, comfy, cozy home a 5-10 minute walk down to a beautiful beach. For three of us staying two nights and just wanting to hang out, it was perfect. The fireplace worked great; the kitchen had pretty much all we needed to make some breakfast; WiFi was easy; the beds were pretty comfy; there were cards and games and puzzles (it was rainy!). The yard was beautiful and I wish the weather had been better so we could've enjoyed it.

Relaxing and Uncomplicated

We just got home from 5 days away at this property in Cambria. I have stayed in Cambria numerous times, but always at one of the hotels on the ocean. We wanted something a little more private and down home. This was exactly that. The house is definitely a home and we felt comfortable having our dog there as well as spending a lot of time just chilling on the deck, wandering around the neighborhood, and enjoying being away. This house is older and has a long history of being a family retreat, as their guestbooks attest. It was exactly right. Thanks to the family that’s made it what it is.

Great find on the central coast!

We were visiting Cambria to take my daughters engagement photos and rented this house for the weekend. You always take a gamble when you are trying to stay within everyone’s budget, but this house was perfect. There were six adults and two dogs and we all had our own space which was nice. One bathroom was a challenge but we made it work! Also it was amazingly close to downtown Cambria we could have walked if we wanted to! Thank you to the Brocklebank family for sharing their home!

Nice property

We enjoyed our stay at this well located home. Nice to walk in the neighborhood and also easy to visit beach and Fiscallini Ranch With the dog. There is a almost deserted dog beach in San Simeon that is a must visit. Also can recommend Stolo winery as a good place for a mid pandemic social distancing picnic/wine tasting. Vacation with kids and a dog

This little house was perfect for our needs. It's just a short walk to Moonstone beach, or a quick trip by car. Loved the fireplace for the colder nights. It was a really convenient place for our family. There were also a lot of puzzles and games and good Wifi, so we had all we needed on our vacation.

Cozy and serene

I rented this house for myself and my 2 boys. The neighborhood was perfect, quiet and residential. It is on the same street as Cal Fore, so I felt very safe! We met the neighbors, very friendly. It is a 10 minute walk to the West Village, we drove to the East. I cooked every morning and evening, and the kitchen was very well appointed. The property was spotless, too. The house is older, but I liked the charm. My only suggestion would be new mattresses and a few more hand towels. I would definitely come again!
