Summary:

Handmade brick ceilings, colorful Oaxacan tile and your own palapa with ocean views give this 3-bedroom, 3-bath home in Casas del Sol real local character. The shared pool is right outside the living room door. Mirador Un Sueño Posible is a couple of minutes' walk away, and the stairs down to Playa Manzanillo are about 5 minutes away. Air conditioning, Starlink Wi-Fi and a full kitchen. A good fit for families and groups of friends.



The Space:

The living room, dining area and kitchen share one open space under vaulted brick ceilings, and the living room door opens straight onto the shared pool. The couch is double-wide, made for an afternoon nap.



Bedrooms: two bedrooms with king beds, including the main bedroom with its own bathroom, and a third bedroom with two single beds. All have air conditioning and ceiling fans.



Bathrooms: three full bathrooms with towels, shampoo, body soap and shower gel.



Kitchen: stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and blender, plus cookware.



The palapa: your own palapa has lounge seating, a dining area, a prep counter, hammocks and a BBQ grill, with ocean views and sunsets.



Pool: the pool is surrounded by gardens and palm trees, with sun loungers for the afternoon.



Extras: washer and dryer by the entryway, iron, TV, safe and Starlink Wi-Fi.



Guest Access:

The home and the palapa are just for you. The pool is shared within the Casas del Sol community. There's 24-hour security and a secure parking area.



The Neighborhood:

Casas del Sol is a quiet residential spot in El Faro, a couple of minutes on foot from Mirador Un Sueño Posible, one of the best viewpoints in town. The stairs down to Playa Manzanillo, good for swimming and snorkeling, are about 5 minutes on foot. The Rinconada's restaurants and cafés are about 20 minutes on foot, and Playa Carrizalillo about 20 minutes. It's a quiet community and not suitable for parties.



Getting Around:

Puerto Escondido is small and many places are walkable. Taxis are easy to find two blocks from the house. If you rent a car or scooter, there's a secure parking area and free parking on the street. The airport is 10 to 15 minutes by car, and Zicatela and La Punta are an easy drive.

Other Things to Note:

We are located in a friendly and welcoming community and, although this is a holiday destination, it's home to other people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 10 PM and 8 AM noise should be kept to a minimum. No smoking of any kind. The shared pool is for reserved guests only, please no parties.



Please note the electricity usage policy: 25 kWh per night is included. Additional usage will be charged at 5 pesos per kWh. Meter readings are taken at check-in and check-out, and you may monitor usage during your stay.



All guests are required to sign the rental agreement prior to arrival. A secure link will be sent before check-in, and completion is required to access the property.



Your stay includes 50 kWh of electricity per day. Any usage above this allowance will be charged at $5 MXN per additional kWh. Consumption is monitored daily, and meter readings can be provided upon request or if the limit is exceeded. To help stay within the allowance, we recommend turning off the A/C when leaving the property.



Hurricane season notice



If your stay falls during hurricane season, please be aware that storms can cause power outages in the area. These are outside our control and can happen at short notice. We're not able to offer refunds or partial refunds for power outages or other storm-related disruptions during your stay.



If severe weather or another natural event prevents you from travelling, cancellations will follow the cancellation policy on your booking. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers weather and natural events, as any claim for costs in that situation would need to go through your insurer.
