'Room was clean, the decor was in need of a refresh. The carpet on the stairs leading up to the rooms is very off putting and had me worried about the room itself. So I was pleasantly surprised. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was ok, plenty of hot water and the shower was great. Breakfast was very good and the staff were pleasant. '

'The Daffodil Hotel is a really decent hotel, we came for our little honeymoon. Room was very clean, reception staff very welcoming and the beds are comfortable. We loved the view from our window of the lake and hills. Gorgeous location! Only issues was we had no fridge in our room, not having somewhere cold to store our 'bottled gifts' we brought from our wedding was disappointing. Also the reception lounge bar was closed constantly, its a shame as we fancied a nice cocktail and snack to...

'We LOVED our stay here! Our room was the “Grand Room, 1 King Bed, Balcony, Garden View” in the newer building and the attention to detail was exceptional. Loved the large comfy bed, our cozy robes, the deep bathtub and accompanying luxury toiletries and bath soaking salts. The WiFi was fast and the staff members were fantastic. It was a close walk into town and close to everything you could want to explore in the Lakes District. Very cool how the hotel provides wellies (Hunter Boots) for guests...

'Ik heb een erg aangenaam verblijf van enkele dagen gehad in YHA Langdale. Vriendelijk personeel, goed uitgeruste keuken, twee prettige zitkamers, schone kamers en badkamers. Het enige mogelijke minpunt is de locatie: ontzettend mooi, maar enigszins afgelegen als je niet met de auto komt. Maar als je in goede conditie bent is alles lopend bereikbaar. '

'Very pleasant small property. 5 mins walk from central Ambleside. Well equipped and warm. Perhaps a bit small for a family of 4 but great for two people. Nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. Only one parking space but a car park 4 mins walk down the hill. Would recommend.'

'Excellent property with high standard of finish and decoration. Very warm despite the cold weather outside. The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. 'Luke's Hoose felt really homely as soon as we opened the door. Great views from the elevated living room, looking over the town and hills beyond. So close to the main street so was easy to access all the shops, bars etc.'

Decor a little dated, power shower excellent but cubicle small. Missed having a washing machine for sports gear. Would book again as Ambleside and the Lakes are wonderful. '
