My sister and I sold a house in Florida and decided in North Carolina was where we were going to relocate. We need a space for us to spend a month while we house hunted. We needed a property with a fence backyard for our two special-needs pups. We found Ben and Lori‘s place in Rutherfordton. It sounded perfect. It exceeded all our expectations. This wasn’t just a rental. This was a home warm and welcoming. Ben and Lori was wonderful to work with and although we really didn’t need to contact them because it was so easy everything was laid out well and clearly explained. The dogs loved the fenced backyard and we loved the herd of deer that spent a lot of time outback. Our lies have been so tumultuous right now with moving and all that entails that it was just nice that this part was so easy.Thanks again, Ben and Lori!

It was a very clean home. Antique lovers will appreciate the decor. We were there trying to figure out where to retire. The description was vague on the heating. There is no heating in the bedrooms. It was cold, but lots of blankets so we did ok. Over all if you want to be in this region, I recommend a stay.

A wonderfully warm and comfortable home.

This home offers a perfect getaway for a family, with or without pets. Check-in was easy, communication was excellent,and the home was warm, clean and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea, and everything you could possibly need. Comfortable beds and plenty of linens are provided. I highly recommend and hope to return soon.

The property was beautiful and on good days we could even see the mountains in the background. The antiques in the property were lovely and the house was very clean and spacious. Lovely house

The house we stayed in was very clean and spacious. Big family room and kitchen and dining area. There are 4 window ac units that kept the house cool in 100 degree weather in July! I would recommend this house if you’re looking for a place to stay close to Tryon.

Wonderful Owners

Backstory entails that we were building a house and needed several short term stays. I can honestly say it was (and to a degree still is) a stressful time. Lori and Ben were our last hosts during this lifetime event, and we could not find two more caring and responsive hosts in the VRBO world. They were not only hosts, but our neighbors for 2.5 months. We felt well taken care of during our stay which included our pup. The location was close to town, shops and restaurants, and we were only 15 minutes on a bad day from our home building site. This home has so much character! Great place to relax after a day of adventure. It is a wonderful home in the country, but just minutes from downtown Rutherfordton. Within a 30 minute drive to Chimney Rock State Park.
