Blokhutten in Roan Mountain

'First off, we have never stayed in a yurt before so have nothing to compare this yurt with. We've had friends to and they have had good things to say. Since this was a last-minute trip and we wanted to be close to the trailhead, we decided to try out this yurt that advertised that it was "7" minutes from the trailhead. and was "luxurious"!!!!! It ended up being 24 minutes. I'm glad I had GPS because the way that the host told us to go, was in the opposite direction and there was NOTHING...

'There are Many Wonderful Things at Red Bud… high end appliances, well stocked kitchen, home is very quiet and cozy, ample amount of high quality towels and linens, comfy beds, really great shower, plenty of hot water, beautiful stone patio and stairs, large lawn, pond and rocking chairs on front porch.Things to Consider: steps to the side door are natural stone and the height of each step (only 3) is not consistent, making it a bit tricky for older folks to step safely while trying to carry...

'Nice home, convenient to Banner Elk, Beech and Sugar Mountains. Came to town for a wedding so really didn’t spend a ton of time at the cabin outside of sleeping but all was fine.'

'We had the best little stay at this adorable cabin! We had two families, 4 kids (ages 10-13) and they loved the loft area. The bottom level bed was SO comfy, kitchen fully stocked and plenty of available towels. Easy navigation to Beech Mountain resort for skiing, great iced lattes at First Chair Coffee Shop and yummy family dinners at both Famous Brick Oven Pizza (kids loved the arcade and ice cream) and Bullwinkels (great pasta and sammies!).
