'I booked this hotel because there is a free airport shuttle. Mentioned on the website and in Expedia. But I waited almost an hour and no shuttle! Only from the the to the airport and only in the morning?! Why is that not mentioned?? I send a few messages via Expedia to the hotel and never got an answer back! Very bad! Hotel so big and my room was ready, but you only get the key at 16:00… Pffft…'

'Newer hotel, definitely not a 5 star hotel in room, service and breakfast quality. Bathroom smaller than one in Holiday Inn Express. Although rooms were paid in advance at arrival a relative high amount of bail was asked for and the small amount of tourist tax had to be paid directly and could not be put on the bill at check out. 'Every detail was curated, nothing was left unplanned both in the bedrooms and in the common areas. Location was perfect, quiet and well connected to the metro and main Kyoto train station. The Onsen facility was a nice moment in the evening to relax and experience a traditional ritual. Breakfast was also very good and the staff available to help with any query. Only note the laundry area was frequently busy plan ahead if you need to wash your clothes. Overall, highly recommended!'

'Keurig en modern hotel. Goede service, medewerkers waren zeer behulpzaam bij o.a. het tijdelijk stallen van gehuurde fietsen, het zoeken naar een (huis)arts en versturen van bagage. Onsen waren heerlijk. Ontbijt erg uitgebreid, zowel Japanse als westerse keuzes. Locatie is echt super: op loopafstand van Kyoto station, vlakbij winkelcentrum en aan overzijde van supermarkt.'
