Ordinary all inclusive resort. Everything was good except mosquitos. I think resort should do better job spraying areas. Got eaten by mosquitos even thou we sprayed ourself with repellent.

Over all average experience. Definitely more suited for a family rather than mother daughter (both adults) experience. They had a lot of entertainment that was around the kids which we didnt mind. They rely wayyyy to much on their app for a resort that does not have reliable wifi outside of the room. Booking the dining experiences and spa was in my opinion unnecessarily difficult and took a lot of time. Also they need to post more specific times for things. The piol closes at 6 which is super early in my opinion and one restaurant we wanted to try didnt open until after 10 pm. (We wouldnt have vared if we knew in advance but there was no signs, no guides or time tables which would be helpful) Also booked the santo dominigo tour through the resort. Didnt really feel worth the money. Very short and felt rushed.

During my recent stay at Bahia Principe Grand La Romana hotel, I was disappointed by the taste of the food. One of the main aspects of any hotel experience is the dining options, and unfortunately, the food at this particular establishment did not live up to my expectations. The meals served at the hotel lacked flavor and were quite bland. I found that many of the dishes, whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, lacked the vibrant and enticing flavors that one would hope for. The overall taste profile was underwhelming, and it left me feeling unsatisfied after each meal. Moreover, the variety of food options was limited, which further added to my disappointment. While the hotel offered a range of cuisines, the lack of taste made it difficult to truly enjoy any of the dishes. It felt as though the focus was more on quantity rather than quality. Despite the tasteless food, I must acknowledge that the hotel staff were friendly and attentive. They made an effort to provide good service, but unfortunately, the culinary experience fell short. In conclusion, my stay at Bahia Principe Grand La Romana hotel was marred by the tasteless food. While the staff were pleasant, the lack of flavor and limited variety in the meals left much to be desired. It is my hope that the hotel management takes feedback into account and makes improve

The resort was beautiful. The food was great, lots of variety. The only negative is that apparently they have the worse beach as a river runs through it. The water is dirty. Also for English speaking people, they only play Spanish music at the clubs and at pool side activities. We asked to be moved to another resort as the beach is what we came for.

Realmente estuvimos en Bahía Príncipe La Romana bouganville, por este motivo mis criterios son en base a este hotel. Realmente nos afectó mucho la climatización de las habitaciones, el aire no enfriaba mucho. Pero la atención en general es excelente. Queremos destacar sobre todo,dos meseros que nos hacían sentir todo el tiempo súper bien atendidos. Sus nombres son Gelson Franco y Yaritza Martínez. Todo el tiempo sus atenciones con nosotros fueron de otro nivel. Hasta foto con ellos nos hicimos.

While the staff was above and beyond levels of cooperation and friendliness (thank you Tanya and Delbin at front desk), the ocean water was sadly muddy due to a river nearby and prone to jellyfish in some designated swimming areas more than others. Catalina Island, however, (you need to buy a trip) has clear water and excellent snorkeling where you can see starfish, coral and plenty of fish. The food by way of buffets, beach and poolside bars, and reservation-only restaurants was excellent and has something for everyone. The French & Fish restaurants and Brazilian steakhouse stood out among those options. The main buffet staff under William supervision works wonderful. Great friendly team. The gym opens early and is well stocked and in excellent condition, and people run up and down the beach early in the morning for exercise. There is a sauna. The on-site fine cigar shop specializing in La Aurora E. Leon, Montecristo, Cabao and Romeo y Julieta cigars also carries good quality cigarettes like American Spirit. The beer on tap is Presidente which should always be ordered with a lime. There is a plaza full of souvenirs and accessory shops and locals set up tables in the main lobby once a week or so. Mostly, points were taken off for the brownish-milky ocean water swimming area with jellyfish and how early activities end and the bars close (11pm). There was little to no nightlife past that time and no alcohol to be found. The upside is that it is actually quiet at night, and noth

If you’re looking for a no pressure relaxing vacation, this resort needs to be considered. Time was well spent at the pool and many available beach chairs. The fact that it’s more than 90 minutes to Punta Cana, the costs of going there for excursions make it pretty expensive. The resort could make arrangements for you however it was $180usd for a round trip of four people

Check in was a nightmare no organization at all, hotel seats in a beautiful property very well maintained staff is nice rooms need some upgrade mattress are supper hard very difficult for me to sleep on that since I have bursitis on my hip and opposite side shoulder surgery .the beach is full of algae and jelly fish water is dark and nasty not suitable for swimming. I had booked this property for my parents’ Wilma & Ronald’s 30th Anniversary celebration and it did not disappoint! My parents had the best time ever being it their first time in Punta Cana. Right when they landed in PUJ, their transport service area (Coming2 Transport Service) was easy to locate and the ride was quick and smooth. The drivers were on time, fast, yet careful during the ride to and from the resort. First impression of the lobby- HUGE! The front desk staff who greeted us, Ronal, was very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs throughout our stay. The overall property and all staff at Bahia Principe was amazing. They always greeted us and welcomed us so nicely. Our hotel room with the superior ocean front view was astounding! The bed was so comfy, and the washroom was so clean. It was so sweet that they added a banner on our front door greeting “Happy Anniversary” and setting up drinks and chocolates on the table. The amenities, pools, jacuzzi, snack bar, restaurants and buffet were outstanding! We never knew what to eat because the selection was numerous! You’ll never be thirsty, or hungry throughout the trip! All the events like the karaoke night, in which my mom performed “I Will Survive”was one of her greatest highlights! Along with the Spa and Saona Island excursion, although extra, is highly recommended! We had a fantastic and enjoyable stay at Bahia Principe La Romana! Thank you for our unforgettable experience!

Buena atención y amabilidad del staff. La comida buena. Pero el ambiente fatal. Mucho turismo nacional y no porque sea nacional pero personas borrachas en la piscina mal educadas, y tratando de faltar el respeto a las mujeres , muy mal ambiente del viernes al domingo, poca trankilidad, algo de desorden , si te alejabas del área de la piscina a la hora del lunch y dejabas tus pertenencia en el camastro cuando regresabas lo encontrabas tirado a un lado y otras personas sentadas en el espacio cuando reclamabas te salían con grosería, para evitar problemas era mejor regresar a la habitación. Por tal razón elimine un día de mi estancia y me regresé. Sinceramente solo por esta razón no regresaría ni lo recomiendo. Pienso que deben tener cuidado con el elemento que dejan hospedar en el hotel. Lo demás excelente el personal increíble sin excepción.

The pictures are misleading. The water is brown as a lake or a river, the sand is dark. It is not as white as the pictures and the water definitely is not clear nor green nor blue at all like the pictures show. When you step into the water about 2-3 inches you no longer see your foot. It is really dark. Also the food was very bland. The idea of everything is great, but most of them with no salt. Desert were very poor selection and basic. None of the cakes had any sweetness either. Very bland. It is a family place so be prepared for noisy kids and parents yelling at their kids. We stayed on the first floor (rooms are two story villas) and every day insects will come in from the grass outside. The property itself is very old, but very clean and friendly staff. Very unfortunate that the beach was really ugly and food super bland.

It was our first time visiting Dominican republic, and we will definitely go back! Everything about our stay was amazing. The staff, food, cleanliness, entertainment, drinks; everything was amazing. The beach was okay. I definitely recommend doing the excursion to saona beach. If you’re thinking on going to vacation with your kids don’t doubt it, everything was super clean and save.

There was a couple of issues, our room AC was very poor, no hot shower, only warm water after opening all shower and sinks and letting run for 5 mins. It was reported but never fixed. The beach was not good at all, this is not their fault but only the pool was good to use, beach water was dirty.

We love our stay in bahia principe gran la romana, the rooms and the staff were amazing, arianna and genna from the entertainment team were always nice and taugth us how to dance , the entire team have excellent customer service skills .we will definitely be coming back.

we spent 6 nights in this resort. I can say that we had a good time and the food was very good. the buffet option was one of the best because of the variety and the children definitely eat something. people are sociable. the children and the husband enjoyed it more since I had a reaction from a cream used before. I want to single out one person and her name was Yissell who helped me a lot in this situation because she convinced my daughter in a good way to stay in the miniclub and she activated her in many games because my daughter is a little difficult child. While my husband took care of the son and I did not go out in the sun because of the reaction on my face, with a few words she saved our vacation and her English was very good, I was surprised. (Apologies for the long review) Stayed: 4/29-5/6 Pros: Staff: was immaculate, this is the 2nd All-inclusive resort we have been to (the other one was in Cancun) and this staff went above and beyond to ensure you were having a great time. They also learned our names and were very respectful. In particular "Joan Querillonsin" was a stand out for us. We met him on our first day and was so friendly. Every morning we had breakfast he was there and the Italian restaurant as well, very respectful. Activities: This resort has an activity board that gives details of the activities they will have in the resort. These include Volleyball, Pool Zumba, Mini golf, ping pong, etc. These activities keep the vibe alive and get all guests included and the staff is always so enthusiastic and talented as well. They also have children-specific activities like drawing and bracelet-making Cons: Pool: The time that we were there was considered Winter time so the pool was only open 8-6pm (8-7pm in summer months). I understand this is due to the children but my partner and I love swimming and this was a disappointment for us as we could not swim when it was not hot out. Food Options: The resort has a buffet, snack buffet, and 3 restaurants. The 3 restaurants are only open at night and REQUIRE reservations days in advance. Buffet has limited options and is open at weird times Room Service: There was none, no ability to get food delivered. 7.5/10: Overall had a great time!

Nothing unique about this property! I didnt like the romantic dinner package that they have. It was a waste of my money and the service was horrible! And definitely not enough activities
