Blokhutten in Portree

'Spotlessly clean, rooms as advertised on vrbo, quick clear communication from host...perfect location to explore Cape Breton. Check in seamless as well. Would stay here again. Pro tip...bring binoculars to see wildlife on ocean right in front of the rental.'

'The accommodation was impeccably clean and great care and attention were given to every detail. The power went out in town during our stay and so that dampened the experience as we were unable to get dinner out as all restaurants and grocery stores were closed.'

'Fabulous home !!!'

'An Absolutely Wonderful Stay – A True Home Away from Home! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at Chalet Gedouque on September 23 with our dear friends and my dog, and what an unforgettable experience it was! This charming cottage is, without a doubt, the most welcoming and beautifully appointed cottage we have ever stayed in. Honestly, the experience felt like staying at a six-star luxury retreat! Every corner of the cottage reflects the owners' incredible attention to detail and thoughtful care. From the...

'Excellent private location, perfect for an escape from it all. Very clean home. Well maintained and thoughtfully stocked with all the comforts and necessities of your own home. The location is close to town and all the services and activities of the region. The hosts were attentive, easy to reach, and provided lots of ideas and suggestions on what to see and do in the area. The sunsets were spectacular. Overall, a high quality experience and worth the money.'

'Tv with dvd inoperable - space heaters didn’t heat bedroom - clean'

'I hadnt realized this was in an older RV, somehow. I thought it would be a small cabin. To get into bed was a little tricky to not hit your head on the overhang. There was a very tight space either side of the bed to get into it. The bathroom is tiny. The larger room is nice and bright, and the location in the woods is beautiful. It was very close to the concert we attended in Cheticamp. The owners had a fun sense of humor with labeling light switches and key chains.'

'It's an older RV, what do you expect? The location is fantastic, though, if you like a quiet wooded place near a peaceful creek with lots of birds. The RV itself has seen (and smelled?) better days, but the AC worked fine. TV did not work at all. The place could use a good deep cleaning, and the kitchen sink definitely needs scrubbing. Finding a used washcloth in the shower did not increase my confidence in the overall cleanliness of the place, either. Water tastes funny, too. But, did I mention...

'I loved this cute place. It was exceptionally clean, easy to find, with a lovely sunset view. The tiny, adorable kitchen had a drink fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster oven. The compact bathroom was very narrow, which could be an issue for a larger person. The bathroom was well lit with a plug in by the mirror. There was some road noise heard inside, which wasn't an issue for us. There were thoughtful touches throughout and the host had excellent response time. Check in was super easy.'
