'The best thing here was the ocean view from the rooms balcony. However, it goes downhill from there. We stayed March 3-5,2026 which is considered “off-season” but when you only see a property attendant to check you in and they leave the property and not return - would that be a safety concern! Yes, that is correct there was no staff on site at any time during stay or departure. The hotel front doors were left open to the weather all day and night. 'We had the most wonderful stay at the Akanthos Villa. Our host, George, was welcoming, communicative, and kind; he made sure that we were comfortable and well taken care of. The villa itself is very beautiful and quiet, located just a 5-minute walk from the main port. A charming and spacious historical home which was perfect for our family during our Easter holiday. We will be coming back again! Thank you, George!'

'Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. Rooms were quite large and very clean. The beach and a good variety of tavernas were steps away. I was so impressed that in 12 days time I'm going back for another week'
