The place was amazing! The only things I would point out as issues would be the beautiful tile used that is slippery when wet. This is the case in the shower of the rooms and along the pool. Akaso, while there is ample transportation through the resort, if enjoying the walking trails, there were no areas to rest or relax.

Property was nice but very unclear about how to use facilities. Staff tried to upsell at multiple times. Not great if traveling with older family members. Food was average at best. Drinks watered down generally. My mother hurt herself on a recliner and staff were not very helpful. She also hurt herself getting off transport as the driver did not wait until she had fully gotten on off.

Everything was wonderful, and one of the reservation employees, Fernanda, was great! My only complaint is that our shower head didn’t stay up and we had to use one hand to hold it up. Beautiful location and great people.

Where do I begin. This was the worst all inclusive resort I have ever been to. The food was absolutely awful. Most was not even edible. You are only able to reserve a restaurant once every 3 days. They aren’t even worth it as the food is just as bad. The drinks were also terrible. The liquor was as bottom shelf as they come. There are I believe 4 other iberostar resorts on the property and this is the bottom of the barrel. I felt embarrassed to have on a blue bracelet. You are not able to use the pools or the restaurants for the other resorts. As you walk by them you will notice they are much higher end than Del Mar. this was not a cheap hotel either and the cost did not fit the quality. The golf cart that is supposed to run throughout the day just sits at certain spots so you end up having to walk almost every time. Both my dad and my keys didn’t work when we got back from the beach. They said it was because it was near a phone or a credit card but it was not near either. We went down to get a new key and when we came back mine was still not working. My dad tried to key that he had never taken out of the room and it did not work so clearly something else was going on. If you don’t get to the pool/beach by 9 AM, you won’t get a chair. The sign say that you can’t use towels to save a seat, but everyone does. The rooms were fine. They were nothing special, but they were clean. The only reason that I gave a two star instead of a one is because the staff was overall great.

We regret that some of our guests do not follow this policy well, however, we can assure you that everyday our staff does everything in their hands to verify this internal policy is being followed. Our goal is your complete satisfaction and to make you feel as relaxed and pampered as possible. My family had a great experience here. The grounds are beautifully laid out with lush vegetation and animals - flamingos, parrots, swans and coati (looks like monkeys). The interconnected pools flow nicely. Family friendly but adults can have a great time. Clean facilities and beaches. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant reservations were extremely limited so that might be the only thing they can improve on. However, it was spring break and honestly I realize now that I often prefer the convenience of the buffets and walk-ins over the reservations anyways. It would be nice if we could reserve a spot before we arrived because essentially we were given one option. I would definitely come again. My son made friends right away -as did we.

This was our 4th visit. The resort and staff are great. The food is mediocre at best. I’ve never seen so many hotdogs incorporated into food. It wasn’t a cheap resort either. Hibachi was really good. We will try a new place next time.

The mangroves absorb 10 times more carbon dioxide than terrestrial forests, helping to combat climate change. They are characteristic of tropical areas and protect coastlines from the wind and waves. At Iberostar, we are protecting mangroves and planting more around our hotels in the Riviera Maya and Punta Cana. This is just one of the actions we are taking as part of our Wave of Change movement. We loved the wildlife and the layout of the resort. The entertainment team was engaging and there was lots happening at the theatre. We were disappointed in the restrictions on a la carte dinners, the reduction in the in room bar (no liquor and only 2 beers per day) and there was no variation in breakfast and lunch options.

The new transportation system with M2W for shuttles from the airport to the resort needs work in their bookkeeping and scheduling. Was better before when Iberostar looked after everything.. Also, would be nice to be able to make dinner reservations in advance of arrival, especially for large groups such as our 20 .

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is older and the buffet was just okay. The hibachi was amazing! We would have liked to have been able to make more than three specialty restaurant reservations, as we were there for 8 days and could only make three reservations and had to spend the other nights at the buffet. The staff and entertainment were both awesome!

El hotel es un lugar realmente encantador, un auténtico paraíso para disfrutar en familia y descansar. El personal, en su totalidad, fue sumamente amable y siempre mostraron una actitud cordial y sonriente hacia todos los huéspedes. Especialmente, quiero resaltar la dedicación y consideración de los chefs y meseros de los restaurantes y bares, quienes se tomaron muy en serio las alergias alimentarias que tengo, lo cual aprecio enormemente. Sin duda, volvería a este maravilloso lugar. Sin embargo, me gustaría hacer algunas sugerencias constructivas: En cuanto a la limpieza de la habitación, en general fue buena, pero hubo un par de ocasiones en las que encontramos trapos sucios utilizados para la limpieza en el tocador. Además, en algunas situaciones, solicitamos elementos específicos como toallas faciales o sodas para el frigobar, y no los dejaban en la habitación, lo que nos obligaba a llamar a recepción para obtenerlos directamente de allí. Entendemos que durante la temporada alta, el hotel recibe a un gran número de turistas, lo que podría afectar los tiempos de respuesta y la disponibilidad del personal. Otro aspecto que consideramos podría mejorar son las almohadas de las camas en las habitaciones, ya que todos los miembros de la familia tuvimos algunas dificultades con ellas.
