'The house, built 1870, would be a dream for children: candy, cookies, chocolate, muffins, candybars e v e r y w h e r e !! Inside it has an extensive collection of all kind of odds and ends, which makes the house so cozy! We stayed in the governer's room, a big room with a comfortable king bed. You must not count on (daily) cleaning and making the bed, because both jobs won't happen. That was a bit disappointing, because we stayed for four nights and had expected that to happen. 'Wij hebben twee dagen Maple Creek geboekt om op adem te komen na de vlucht vanuit Nederland en als uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan Houston. Kamer die wij hadden was super (honeymoon). Als uitvalsbasis voor Houston zou ik Maple creek niet meer kiezen. Afstand is vrij groot. Kom je voor je rust dan is dit verblijf prima. Persoonlijk vind ik het ontbijt mager.'

'The property was excellent for a quiet weekend getaway. The setting was in back of a gated community and the area surrounding the B&B was wooded which added to the sense of privacy. The private hot tub in our suite was well maintained and a perfect place to relax in evening. The breakfast options were great and the two we selected were well prepared and quite tasty. '

'The owners were fabulous! They left us a whole bowl of goodies and waters in the fridge. The place was super clean!! We were in town for a wedding, so we basically just used the place to sleep, but it was super cozy. The beds were comfortable and literally any toiletries you could think of that you would need, they provided. It was almost like we were staying at a friend’s house. 'Beautiful and well kept historic home! The owner and chef were extremely courteous and welcoming...we couldn’t have felt more welcome! The room and common areas were clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and I only regret that we couldn’t finish the generous portions. Would definitely reccomend!'
