Blokhutten in Pinehurst

'My wife and I rented this lovely little cabin for 3 nights and would have loved to stay 3 more. The history is super cool and there are a bunch of items and memorabilia on the walls relating to the cabin making for a really unique experience. Don’t expect it to feel like a modern hotel room. It’s rustic and as original to its 100 year old roots as it can be. If you like the rustic though you’ll love this place. We saw a group of about 12 turkey waddle through the yard, spotted a deer walking...

'The cabin was just adorable. The bed and bedding were nice and warm and we had everything we needed. It was super close to Sequoia and Kings Canyon. My husband and I had a great time. Great communication with Melanie the host too!'

'De cabine is everything you expect from it. It’s good equiped, You can enjoy the silence while sitting on the poarch . You are in a beautiful surrounding, near the park. We stayed for 1,5 day, hiked for 4 hours and enjoyed the beautiful sequoia trees. There is also a possibility to order a meal with the caretaker of the property, which comes in handy When arriving late. If possible, do your groceries when you come to the park, the little grand grove marked has limited choices. '

'Location was good. Towels sheets, beds were good. Surfaces were clean. Not worried about rodents or bugs but the floors were not clean. Deck and access could use a little maintenance but doable. Lots of little steps and uneven flooring. Not great for elderly. Little bar down the street is huge bonus.'

'The views were amazing, cabin was spacious, clean, comfortable large beds, bathroom supplies, towels were appreciated. Host was responsive when we messaged hadn't received the door code. But it was because maybe we no service. Some minor cons- Oven needed to be cleaned, no aluminium foil or oven proof dish to heat food, no laundry detergent. Overall had a great experience enjoyed the peace and serenity and would have loved to stay longer.'
