'Our apartment was perfect: very clean inside, two bathrooms, everything worked perfect, beds very comfortable, inside the ancient walls and easy to get to everything. The only minor issues were first entering the steps up were dirty and then the door lock was fussy. But then walking in was perfect and I have no problem giving 5 stars.'

Check-in happens at a coffee shop outside Ploce Gate, so be prepared to walk 8 mins to the hotel. Fairly easy walk, but cobbled streets. Inside, the property, rooms and decorations are immaculate and beautiful. No elevator, so a fair bit of stair climbing. 'The Pucic Palace I see as a hotel de charme. Staff very helpful and friendly. We were there in April 2022, so a bit early in the season. As such their outside terrace (elevated one) was not yet open. Breakfast was good with some special touches. Only downside I can think of there is no lounge to sit and read. Generally very unique and friendly. Can really recommend! '

'I had a wonderful stay at La Vita e Bella in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. My room (Room 1 at La Vita e Bella IV) was recently renovated, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches. It had a small espresso maker with pods, a teapot, a tiny safe, and even fresh fruit. The bed was so comfortable, with soft white robes, luxurious towels, and a beautiful bathroom featuring both a large tub and separate shower. 'Only downside is bathroom has glass walls that you can pull drapes for privacy but sadly no ceiling. If you need privacy to do your business it might not be the best choice. Other than that it is a great space up several flights of stairs.'

'The property was extremely well kept. It was close enough to Old Town and in a great location. The contact was extremely responsive and provided great information that made accessing the property super easy. The only complaint, if any, is that the bathroom is very tight. 'beautifully restored, very comfortable, just a few rooms and guests. Very quite. Rooms were lovely and well appointed. Just a couple of comments, the curtains were very hard to pull/close and the music system for the restaurant was just under the window of our room. It is portable and could be moved around the corner. '
