Disappointing experience and unfair security deposit chargesUnfortunately, our stay at this property was frustrating and disappointing.Two of the advertised amenities â the hot tubs â did not work properly during our stay. The upstairs hot tub could not be turned on at all, and the downstairs hot tub never heated beyond about 80F despite waiting and reporting the issue immediately to the host. No operating instructions or troubleshooting guidance were provided anywhere in the property.Instead of resolving the issue, the host later claimed service charges against our security deposit for technician visits and cleaning that we did not request and did not cause. We specifically asked for evidence supporting these claims (such as camera footage or proof of misuse), but none was provided.On the day of check-in, the host had already informed us that multiple maintenance issues existed in the property, which suggests the home had not been fully inspected before our arrival. Despite this, responsibility for unrelated service visits was shifted to us afterward.Even more concerning, the host did not respond to our follow-ups about the deposit after checkout and deducted approximately 360 without justification.Overall, the handling of maintenance issues and the security deposit process felt unfair and unprofessional. We would not stay here again and recommend future guests clarify all amenity conditions and deposit policies in advance.
