'Beautiful traditional Japanese hotel. Very large rooms and a lot of facilities. Easy to reach from Nikko. Very nice hotel staff, they only don’t speak English very well. '

Great breakfast and tons of tips about sightseeing in Nikko and public transportation. Yoshiko was always ready to help and check if she could do anything for us. 'I really love this hotel! The staff were kind and lovely, even though I’m not very good at communication. I stayed in Room 406, which had a window and a door leading out to the balcony — I absolutely loved it! There’s a Family Mart right across from the hotel, and it’s not far to walk from the train station. It was also very convenient to walk to the large supermarket in town. If I ever come back to Nikko, I will definitely stay here again.'

'De kamer was netjes. De futons zijn een beetje dun. Er worden weinig handoeken gegeven (1 per persoon) en er moet worden bijbetaald voor meer handoeken. Het ontbijt is vrij basic.'

'The hotel is old, it gives the feeling you've travelled back in time. We booked the hotel to experience classic room with futon beds. The view from the room was very nice. Breakfast / dinner buffet was fine. The room came with kimono / yukata and quite a lot of people were wearing them in the restaurant too. We had a non-smoking room. The room smelled a bit, but this is just from wooden materials in the room in combination with the hot weather. It certainly did not smell like someone had...
