The staff were especially amazing and helped us with many questions. We loved the facilities and the location. It was very walkable to the train station and into Penrith. The restaurant has a great menu and good selection of wines.

North Lakes Hotel & Spa is a beautiful facility with lush green gardens. Who would have thought I’d be wishing for an air conditioned room in May! The rotating fan did help a little but my room still felt humid and stuffy. Also the toilets appear to have been upgraded but holding the button in to flush is difficult. Overall NLH&S is a beautiful facility with great service and friendly welcoming staff. I would definitely stay again but during cooler weather.

Fantastic Hotel and facilities, we spent a night here in Oct 23 and the children were looked after just as well as the adults. Excellent food in the restaurant and friendly staff.

Beautiful and cosy hotel. We stayed here for one night on our way to Inverness. We checked in during the Easter break. Kids were welcomed with Cookies. They were yummy. Spa access seemed good. Didn’t have time to try it. My daughter went for a swim. Kids had their own kit. Slippers robe, books colour pencils. Very nice touch. We had dinner in the hotel. Very tasty and fresh produce. Only complaint being they forgot about our order. My husband had to go and enquire and then it all came out in a sec all at once. Had gone a bit cold by then. Would recommend to book dinner earlier. We had to sit in a corner. Looked like a naughty corner. The good food might have compensated for it.

North Lakes review.
Had a lovely time at The North Lakes Hotel & Spa. I am a regular visitor due to business, but this time my wife accompanied me. She really enjoyed the facilities at hotel. The evening meal was excellent, although very pricey. Overall very good.

Lovely nights stay
The rooms were lush and the size of the bed was amazing. The food in the restaurant was amazing, one of the best meals we have had in a long time. The only comment i would make was that even though the spa was lovely, it was a bit busy for the size of it.

Post Xmas break
Excellent location for visiting different areas of Lake District.Pool and spa very good and breakfast excellent. Was pleasantly surprised to find that fresh water and milk was available in corridor close to room .Did not dine at hotel so cannot comment on this. Initially we were given room with strong paint fumes but they changed as soon as we highlighted this and we actually got upgraded.Would not hesitate to stay again.

Booked in for one night and had phoned the week before to request a twin room and add the spa on to our booking. Initially given a double but Grace on reception changed it immediately and gave us complimentary spa access as the systems were down. Used the bar to eat and the kitchen were very accommodating to our dietary requirements. Comfortable, uniquely decorated rooms with some lovely features- I particularly liked the milk machines on each floor and the lovely little touches in each room. Robes and slippers provided and usb charging points next to the beds.

Pleasant stay
Stayed here about 4 years ago and it was nice then but without doubt they have raised the level. The interiors look stylish but comfortable and there are lots of thoughtful touches in the rooms.

The hotel overall is quite good. The bar service is far too slow. Pillows are really uncomfortable in my view. Shower very good. Meal decent, but expensive, as is the drinks.

This is a lovely hotel and the facilities were excellent. The room very clean modern and well kept with housekeeping every day ( we stayed for 3 day break). Breakfast was also excellent with a wide variety of cooked and continental options, very tasty. Getting onto and off from M6 north/southbound was a breeze as just off motorway but where thr hotel olaced is very quiet snd you cannot hear traffic. We were on 3rd floor. Also the travel to and from local sightseeing places really easy to navigate. Prices were good for this time of year so happy. Only wee comment I would make is that we dined in the hotel restaurant thecfirst night. Felt that it was a little pricey and limited menu, but what we did have (the fish) was lovely.

Comfortable stay close to the Lakes
Very comfortable second stay for business at this hotel. The hotel is always busy with people using the spa and sport facilities, and also users of the bar and restaurant, which demonstrate its popularity. Comfortable rooms with all facilities. My only problem this time was a shower that wouldn't stay turned on. The breakfast, if not included, seems quite expensive but is very nice and the staff providing at table service are fantastic. A great place to stay while breaking from a longer journey or before exploring the Lake District.

Excellent stay near Lake District
Excellent stay at the North Lakes hotel, which was very well situated for where I was working. The hotel was tidy and equipped with all the expected conveniences. Breakfast was excellent and very personal service. My two disappointments were poor wireless coverage in my room and the TV would misbehave, but these were minor inconveniences.

The service from the staff was outstanding everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable lovely bed. Loved the little milk bottles and the fresh milk machine. Dinner and breakfast options were very good and the food fantastic. We shall be back.

However, unfortunately there was only 1 jacuzzi & one main swimming pool, and so jacuzzi got busy at certain times in the morning etc. Breakfast was okay; eggs were served warm/ cold & not hot etc. also apparently we had to book when it really wasn’t busy, so almost didn’t make any sense because it was like where is everyone?! Lovey hotel, great facilities however the menu is very limited and judging for what was being served, overly expensive. To add to this both meals apart from chips, were cold.
