'Host left fresh fruit from the family farm which was great ! House was very clean and equipt . Very hospitial with toiletries , towels ect. Beds could be more comfortable, people with bad backs will suffer. Other then the beds the property was perfect. My fịance had a visit from a humming bird. We really enjoyed our stay. '

'This beautiful, peaceful farmhouse was the perfect weekend getaway! Not only was the home adorable, it was super comfortable in every way. The owners took great care to think of everything their guests would need to feel well taken care of and at home. Everything was spotless. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. Highly recommend!'

'Charming home. You can feel the history in the house and on the entire property. Sitting on the porch in the evening and just watching the fireflies come out, the deer passing through, and hearing the wild turkeys above us, so serene. We spent the days touring Gettysburg and Harpers Ferry taking in all the history and then returned home and we would think about thr history that took place here. If you are looking for a place that is quiet and where you can unwind but still be close to everything...

'Our awesome guest experience started with the thoughtful emails from our host. We stayed on the farm after visiting Great Wolf Lodge and Hershey Park. Both places are fun, but over stimulating; it was relaxing retreating to the farm. The apartment was very clean, gave all of us space to take a bit of time apart, and allowed us to cook breakfast and dinner each day. 'The Happy Hen was the perfect spot for my wife and I and our two children, aged 10 and 6. Minutes away from the battlefield, with a very convenient Dollar General just down the road, the HH was cozy and delightful. We intend to stay again in the future.'

'We had a great stay at Valley View! The farmhouse was gorgeous inside and out. We spent every day floating around in the pond and relaxing. We had all the supplies needed to cook dinner at night. The Oriental General Store was a short walk down the road where we could pickup almost anything we needed. Our host was friendly and responsive. We highly recommend! '

'Our stay at this beautiful home was great! The host stopped by to greet us shortly after our arrival and was very attentive. The rooms were larger than we imaged from the pictures. The welcome book included directions for check out. We would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing country setting. '

"We arrived less than an hour before the official check-in. With all our luggage. The room was not ready, ok. But we could not leave our luggage behind for the remaining 45 minutes. So everything back in the car… Breakfast offers enough options and is fine. Dinner and shopping options at the doorstep, very convinient. Clean room. We got a room facing Hwy 30, which turned out to be quote noisy. A large a/c or generator grille next to the window did the rest. Off course we could have asked for another room, but when you already have settled after a long day travel, not so fine. So all together, we think it is over-rated and overpriced. Not a bad hotel, but room for improvement. "
