'Schattig uitziend hotel met kleine maar net ingerichte kamer. Vlak bij het centrum van Carmel en op loopafstand van het strand. Mijn favoriete deel van het bezoek was na de zonsondergang op het strand te hebben gezien en de kinderen in bed gestopt, op te wamen bij het haardvuur in de binnentuin.'

'Loved this place especially the fireplace auto turn on and off. Our room was so nice and comfortable. Location was perfect and dinner recommendations from hotel was perfect for our anniversary! Breakfast was great too it was included but the lady serving in breakfast nook need to relax a little! '

'Everything was great. Small things could be better: In the room, "Heat" did nothing, but setting the Thermostat to 'cooling' actually switched the HEAT and fireplace on... (room 104). Also, it would be lovely if the top windows could be somehow covered like the patio ones - it gets super bright in the morning. But overall, great stay, one of the best in Carmel, and Parking is a big plus.'

'The bed was awesome. Fireplace super warm. The TV and movies available were both lacking. It would be nice to have a movie channel or even ability to access personal entertainment accounts. Iwould give 5 stars if they had that.'

'Beautiful property. Like going to Europe without actually being there. Centrally located within walking distances of everything you’d want to see, visit or go eat at in Carmel. Of course, you have a Michelin star experience at the hotel as well in their restaurant. The attention to detail all around, including the staff and service, was impeccable '

'Aardig hotelletje op rustige locatie in een soort woonwijk, op loopafstand van het centrum (wel steil). Ontbijt wordt dagelijks in een mand voor de deur gezet en bestaat uit een gevulde croissant met vers fruit en yoghurt. Het hotel is verouderd, alles is gedateerd, maar wel netjes. Wij vonden de prijs belachelijk hoog voor wat er geboden wordt maar dat komt waarschijnlijk door de ligging. Er is geen zwembad, enkel een kleine hottub'

'Quiet but bar next door offers great little place to watch sports with drinks & snacks, Beautiful grounds & gardens. Room very nice, bathrooms small but i get it! Just how it is in Carmel by the Sea. Short walk to everything downtown. '

'Hotel in Bavarian style, at walking distance of the main street. Rooms are ok. Only thing that bothered us, was that there is no breakfast room. So you need to go to the office, take your breakfast and take it to your room to eat. '

'Wat dit complex in het centrum van Carmel extra aantrekkelijk maakt zijn de geweldige ontbijten en het happy hour (van half 5 tot 6 uur pm) waarbij onbeperkt wijn gedronken kan worden en veel hapjes klaar staan. Verder is de accommodatie voortreffelijk. Het kost wat maar dan heb je ook wat.'

'Pet friendly but charge $50 per night, which seems silly. Older cottages, common in Carmel, but some of the furniture in the rooms need updating- stains on rugs, tears on fabrics. Tree sap on outdoor chairs. Biggest issue is that in a room for 4 people - 2 get a converted leather couch that flattens to a full, not a queen but a full-size. And then there's nowhere to put your suitcases. Staff only offered a room upgrade for second night, but we were settled and unpacked and leaving the next day...

'Heel schattig zijn de kamers. Ze zijn alleen wat gedateerd: koud binnen en de douche werd helaas niet warm (badkamer is ook heel oud). Hele fijne mooie stille locatie'

'Wife and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We had an experience where someone entered our room and went through our bags and swapped a nice corkscrew that we brought from home with a crappy plastic one. The staff claim they checked the cameras and nobody but us entered the room. Very suspicious this item we have never seen or own happen to show up in my bag and our wood handled corkscrew is gone? Then when I went to go check if anyone had been in our room, me and another guest were...

'Parking was great, very easy access to downtown, Staff was super friendly. I arrived late and just like the said Had Envolope with my name on it for Key and instructions.'
