Let’s start with the good.The condo was beautiful. It was clean, other than needing a good deep clean. Plenty of storage space. There was plenty of room for everyone in the common areas. Having a washer/dryer was nice. (But needs to be included in the deep cleaning. Washer had mildew build up.) Convenient location in Panama. There were some beach/pool toys in the room, which I’m sure were just left by other previous tenants, but it was nice, regardless. The hot tub was nice. We arrived only to discover that there was construction. This construction resulted in us being unable to use both of the balconies for our entire stay, which was a huge disappointment for us. One of the balcony doors on the lockout room was completely covered with a wood panel. I reached out via VRBO to relay our frustration with not being informed of said construction and nobody could be bothered to reply. There was scaffolding with people going up and down during the day, which was incredibly loud. (We were traveling with a one year old and this made nap times extra fun.)The heated pool being closed during November was poor planning. And should have been conveyed when booking.We would not have booked if we had been aware of the construction. Especially if we had known that we wouldn’t be allowed to use the balconies unless we wanted to be “evicted.” The sliding doors do not lock. Which seems like a safety issue for a “family friendly” condo.
