Location was perfect! We brought our bikes and could ride downtown and elsewhere. Pool and hot tub were super nice to relax in. View was great and home all around was superb!

That pool though!

We loved everything about this property. It is walking distance to town and the casino, or a quick Uber ride. The pool was warm and inviting no matter the time of day! My husband and I with two 16 year old girls would most definitely stay here again!

Lovely spot for a sisters' weekend!

We had a lovely time staying at the Glass and Steel house. The weather did not cooperate, so we hung out at the house more than we'd planned, and had a great time.

Glass and Steel House- Ruth Hardy Park

The house is located a block east of Ruth Hardy Park with amazing views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The neighborhood is quiet and a pleasant walk to North Palm Canyon Drive. The landscaping on the property is beautiful, with tall grasses and cacti, citrus trees, and ficus hedging for privacy. The property is well-lit at night. There are plenty of chaise lounges and chairs and outdoor dining areas. The pool, spa, and fire pit are incredible; the design is ideal. The pool also features a sun ledge for two chaises and umbrellas and a 3 unit waterfall, which is tranquil while enjoying the outdoors. The living space is ideal for relaxing and enjoying one's time, and the kitchen is appointed well. The interior is furnished with some nice mid-century reproductions and suits the home. There is plenty of mod-woodwork cabinetry, and the bathrooms are spacious with walk-in showers. Overall, this home is definitely a refurbishing of someone's architectural creation: glass and steel reminiscent of Alcoa's carefree aluminum homes of the 1950s, which I considered a privilege to have spent my sojourn in Palm Springs. I would like to see a bit of TLC in some areas (sun fading, etc.), but overall, it is a lovely home.

Property was very private, quiet and relaxing. A little funky but that’s ok for Palm Springs. We didn’t care for the plastic martini glasses and the broken shaker was an issue but we bought inexpensive replacements and all was well. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Location, location, location!

In the heart of Movie Colony and Palm Springs, you can walk to almost everything. The house is very nice and the pool and hot tub are beautiful. The primary bedroom is separate from the main house and the TV set ups are complicated so not ideal for a family with young kids. Great for mature kids or couples.

We were inundated with warnings to not make any noise outside or you could be evicted without warning. Playing music outside is prohibited at all times. We are a quiet family with 2 young girls. We ended up shushing our kids throughout our stay even though they were just having fun in the pool. This put a bit of a damper on our stay.

Pool is amazing. Location is great. Very good service through ACME. Home was very clean! Had a bit of trouble with the TV systems but they sent someone to help right away. (Recommend adding the sports package to the cable package as the TV did not have ESPN.). Adding a few more poolside friendly drinking cups would be great, and a pillow topper for the beds. Otherwise awesome!

Really fun property and a great place for a long weekend.

We had a great experience at Glass and Steel. The place is clean and a really nice layout. The pool and outdoor space are incredible. ACME was very helpful when a glass table broke and sent someone to clean it up within an hour. The only negatives are the pillows were flimsy and the queen beds were too small. My BF and I are 6"2 and need a king bed.

A bit disappointing

The house was nice but it wasn't what I expected. The furniture was cheap. Also, the wifi was spotty and the tv/entertainment system was not working some of the time. The pool was the best thing about the house.

Awesome getaway

We loved this spot. Great house, great pool, everything worked just fine. We had a little problem with the coffeemaker and someone came within 30 minutes with a new one! Great service and a wonderful experience. Recommended.

That being said,we contacted Acme and they arrived within the hour with a full on cleaning crew and pool guys. They did an excellent job and we were settled in very quickly. Acme checked back with us during our stay and even sent us a nice wine basket. The home is fantastic and upscale. We loved the design and amenities. Hoping we all can rent this place again. Our experience was absolutely wonderful!!

We had an amazing time and truly enjoyed pretty much everything about this house and the design. We loved the industrial and unconventional design features, along with the way it was styled to soften everything up and make it work really well. The enclave provides great shelter from wind and sun, and privacy. The hammock was a true delight and a wonderful way to watch the stars, or take a nap. We were one couple, with two adults, and everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The only feedback we’d give is it would be nice to have a King sized bed in the casitas. As a couple, we were a bit cramped in the Queen. The fire feature also felt slightly unsafe and would be an easy upgrade. And the internet service is pretty bad. But none of this should take away from how amazing this place is.

There are lots of details that made the stay special, from the dedicated ice machine, to the tanning shelf in the pool, and outdoor showers. The casita was perfect and private. The outdoor space was great for every hour of the day and evening, with a gorgeous mountain view. The neighbour is very quiet and convenient to everything. We even found a pamphlet about the design of the steel house, in one of the shops on Palm Canyon.

Awesome house and pool area

The house was very nicely appointed, bright, well furnished and comfortable. The Casita was also a great standalone suite, perfect and private. The outdoor area and pool was amazing. Lots of sitting areas, chairs, tables and BBQ and fire pit. All the instructions for the house and pool were easy to understand and operate. Acme did a great job of working with us on the details for accessing the house, working through minor issues and making themselves available to us.
