'We went to Fort Sumner just for one night to attend our cousin’s funeral service. My sister and brother-in-law met us there. We all found the house to be extremely clean and very pleasant. Our only complaint would be that it claimed to sleep 5 people, but there were only 3 bath towels. There were also no kitchen wash rags to clean up dishes and counters. Those would be a big plus. Other than that, no other issues. We will return. Thanks! '

'The decorations are on point, the bed is comfy, the details are thoughtful.. in other words...run, don't walk to book this. It is only for two people though. I believe they have another property on site that sleeps more.'

'Due to where this house sits, you have to go up a pretty good incline with loose gravel/rock. You could make it with a 2-wheel drive vehicle from one side, but 4-wheel drive is recommended. Once you get up there, you won't want to leave though...both for the view and then inconvenience of coming back down the hill...so get everything you need first so you don't have to leave again! It was a good stay even with the high winds during our visit. We would definitely go back.'
