'Sadly, this property didn't live up to how it was presented online. When we got there, we were surprised to find that the property wasn't a house but rather a converted former college faculty housing unit (this is problematic because we travel with our dogs). The housing unit sits on the former Sue Bennett College campus and some of the buildings are vacant and run down. 'Had a great stay in Haysi! What a friendly community. Love seeing this small town in the midst of creating such a welcoming atmosphere. Loved the loft. It is such a great space. If you ever got “rained out”, you would be happy being stuck I doors here with the great outside covered porch. We brought a home cooked meal for our first night and walked to Pizza Plus just one block away after our day at Breaks Interstate Park. It’s about a 15 minute super windy drive to the park.
