    The Space:

    Capturing the small town feeling in an exciting community, this spacious two-story 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath vacation home - approximately 1,971 square feet - offers exceptional spaces inside and out. The first floor offers the living area, well-equipped open kitchen, dining area and TWO master suites, as well as a covered from porch and a screened porch in back. On the second floor, there are two more bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom between them. The fifth bedroom offers two single beds along with a TV/DVD player. Every bedroom features its own TV and DVD players. There is a full size washer and dryer to help get those not-so-fun chores done faster. The kitchen offers extras such as slow cookers and rice cookers to make cooking fast and easy so you can enjoy the beach and pools more. Central air conditioning too. 6 TVs (4 flat-screens), 6 DVDs, gas fireplace, gas grill, Wifi. The Village at Bear Trap Dunes surrounds 27 holes of championship golf at Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club. Just three miles to the beach, this exciting golf course community features a fantastic set of amenities, including The Village Pavilion (with indoor pool, outdoor pool, kiddie pool, exercise room, Har-Tru tennis courts, hard surface tennis court, multi-sport court and saunas for homeowners and guests), outdoor pool, playground, summer beach shuttle and clubhouse with restaurant. Note: The Bear Trap Dunes Owners Association charges an optional per person fee for guests ages 4 and older for the use of the community’s amenities, including the in-season beach shuttle, pools, tennis and fitness center. This fee varies by the time of year and is subject to change without notice. Guests that opt to purchase amenity passes MUST purchase at the Bear Trap Pavilion. *Up to two dogs are welcome to join you at this home. *Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available. We had many problems with this house from start to finish with zero resolution. The house needs an overall deep clean and inspection. The first night we tossed our bedspread in the closet and used our own blankets because it smelled bad and used. We also found out that we were required to purchase passes to use the pool. 65 days for everyone over 4! Even though the listing boasted no hidden fees! Over the next couple of days the we had the garbage disposal leaking, the dryer broke, the ice maker not only wasn’t working but also leaked. The biggest issue was the central air. It would not properly cool the house down and even shut down a few times altogether. Thursday night was so hot my elderly parents and my baby were up until 3 am. All the while the company was giving me generic messages saying they will let the “local team “ know asap but nothing ever got fixed. My parents ended up leaving on Friday morning because they couldn’t handle another hot sleepless night. Happy 4th of July!
