'Wonderful location. Close to many main hiking trails and waterfalls. We have had bad experiences at rentals but this one was great! Very clean which is important to me. The view was amazing! Elk in the evenings across the street and cows in the morning. Tips for future renters: bring binoculars and a good camera if wanting to get elk pictures. My iPhone couldn’t handle zooming in far enough. Bring cards and board games if wanting entertainment besides tv. Great place and would stay again!! '

'We stayed at leatherwood for one night and headed a couple of miles down the road to the outfitter before starting our paddle trip. Leatherwood is a great and spacious house with everything you need. If you’re driving in the dark the sign can be a bit hard to see but if you’re looking out for it, it’s no problem at all! Would absolutely come back!'

'Like a step back in time the house was decorated warm and cozy you just wanted to pick up a book and curl up by the fire place and read all day. The kids loved it they loved hiking the mile trail and the cookies in the tin Kathy left for us and the candy in the jar. It was very peaceful in the woods The big deck was great to sit on in the morning and have coffee. Great place for the family to all unwind and catch up with each other again'
